Gabriel crouched on a spindly tree branch that seemed too small to support him, white wings stretched out behind him for extra balance. His curly brown hair was tied back but a few strands fell from the ponytail and hung in front of his eyes. He brushed them away irritably and returned to his previous position, hands resting on his legs, watching the forest floor with a combination of curiosity and caution. He always kept a hand close to the knife he kept hung on his belt, just in case of trouble.
------
Caster sped through the forest in wolf form, his white-tipped paws barely seeming to touch the ground. A deer ran a few metres in front of him, though the gap between the two was closing rapidly. He found it easier to hunt in wolf form than buy food in human form. The deer didn't ask him to pay for the meal.
