Candra slept for six hours before she woke up. She yawned softly and slipped out of the attic. She headed for the kitchen.

Caius smirked. "It will be either me in two king sized beds put together or a twin size one with Charles.

"Why are you so happy," he asked,
staring into he eyes.
"You're a slave.
You've been beaten and played with.
You've been starved and spat on.
How are you still so content with yourself?"

Zane held in a surprised yelp by biting her lip, only letting it go when she settled down. Then she offered him a small smile. "I don't look at the bad things," She said softly. "Just the good things. They outnumber the bad. Sure, I don't like most things you do, but hey, I have good things, too. I'm alive, healthy, I have a roof over my head, I'm out of the pet-store, I have many to name. Thinking negative gets people no where."
