Thomas raised his eyebrows. "Ok." he said, not going to press. "You're in Gryffindor, right?" he asked.

Thomas grimaced. "Ooohh...that's gonna be hard. Avoiding them and all. But hey, maybe Ginny will et over it or something." he assured her, very much not like a Slytherin. Then again, he wasn't a regular Slytherin. "well, if you ever need anyone else to hang out with, Thomas from Slytherin is the guy to hang out with. Though it may not be great for Gryffindor's image if they find one of their brightest student walking about with a dirty old Slytherin." he admitted, shrugging.

Alexander couldn’t believe just how many people decided to come to the lake at this time of night- usually there was no one here when he came out for a run. It did no good to clear his mind, it only proved to distract him, all the splashing and sounds coming from the lake. Alexander took his jog up to a sprint, letting his breath overcome his hearing. He nearly did not notice a rather strange sight as it was happening just down the lake from him.

He slowed to a stop and watched the struggle. Was that… Jealousy? And her brothers. What were they doing? There were two others with them. His breath caught when he saw Jealousy kicked out to the lake, and she was struggling to keep afloat. She did not know how to swim!? He briefly switched his sights to the others. Okay, on the basis of what was the emergency, she had to come first. Alexander pushed the hair from his face, running into the water as is splashed around him. He leapt into the chilled water, swimming strongly towards her, but she sank before he could get to her.

He cursed, breathing raggedly as he thought he came to the general area where he saw her sank, but the lake was deep, he was unsure if he could find her. He took a deep breath and dove under, kicking fiercely down, the dim light was impossible to see well through, and it only became colder and darker as he dove deeper. Alexander grabbed onto a large stem of a plant, anchoring himself as he searched, hoping that nothing in this lake decided to make matters worse.

Alexander searched the dark lake bottom, running his hands over the sand as he swam, his chest burning with the need to breathe. He was not sure he could stay under much longer. It was with that thought his hand ran over something considerably warmer than the water. He briefly ran his hand over it, realizing it was her arm and grabbed tight, pulling her close to him, hoping to get her to the surface quick.

Thomas chuckled. "Why thank you. And Hermione doesn't know everything." he said.
