(Thanks. Well I have to peace out. They can go back to their dorms and hang out before the welcome assembly I'm planning. And you could also show them the cafeteria, classroom buildings, hero and sidekick training centers or any other place you care to add to the campus of Sky High. Give them the grand tour and let them hang out. Peace off, and night all!)

Luke smiled at Amber and turned back to Wolfer.

Zia looked up as Violet sat down next to her. (I think they know each other already) "I think I can, but I have to know what the flower looks like to make it appear. It helps if I know the name if the flower too. Are there such thing as poisonous flowers?" Zia cocked her head to the side and looked at Violet.

(oh and Zenyatta? I didn't know if you saw this post and if you wanted reply to it, even though I've talked to Calvin since I posted this)

((Oh, I'm sorry! I totally missed it XD)) "Oh." Zia's power was demanding! "Maybe... I don't know...?" Violet instantlynfelt bad for Zia. It would have been crushing to realize that you couldn't follow your dreams. "Maybe you can save the world in a different way. One that has nothing to do with your power."

Zia swallowed and looked up at Calvin. "It's just..." Zia whispered. "It's just that ever since I learned my parents were superheroes, I wanted to grow up to be like them and save the world. My older sister was my best friend, and she became a superhero and saved the world. I want to be just like them. But with my power it seems like I can't." Zia's eyes glistened with unshed tears but she couldn't let herself cry, not in front of Calvin! She blinked rapidly a couple times and bit her lip. "Thanks for the encouragement but I guess I need to figure this out on my own. Don't worry about it." Zia became her normal self again, now angry that she let herself get vulnerable in front of Calvin. She criss-crossed her legs and resumed picking apart the daisy, almost ignoring Calvin, not wanting to get emotional again.

Calvin couldn't seem to get Zia to understand what he was trying to say. But realizing that another lecture wasn't what she needed right now, he just walked around behind her, sat down and leaned his back up against hers. "I'm right here, if you ever need me," he said quietly, but loudly enough to make sure she and Violet and Melody heard him. He looked over at Violet, who was sitting right beside them, watching him, and with a dart of his eyes, encouraged her to make the same gesture of support. Then he tugged on Melody's hand and pleaded with his eyes for her to come down onto the floor too. "We're a team now. Family. We support each other."

Eureka! It was at that moment that Calvin realized why he was here, what his mission in all this would be, why he was given the power he was given, and why he'd had to hide it. All of a sudden, being a sidekick really was okay with him, because for what needed to be done, only he as a hero-in-disguise could do! A huge wave of relief washed over him. All the disappointment and hurt and anger at having to pretend to be someone he wasn't was going to be worth it; it was going to be okay. He was going to get to save the day after all.

Melody looked down in surprise as Calvin tugged on her hand. What was he...? Oh! Once she realized what he was doing, her eyes widened. She'd have to tie herself down, put her trust in someone and have them do the same to her. Have someone else's weight on her shoulders. But... it'd be shared. Sure, she'd have another person trusting her, but she would have someone to put her trust in, too. More than one person, if CAlvin was as smart as she thought he was. She nodded once and sat down beside him, one shoulder touching him and her other shoulder touching Zia. A team. Right, this could work.
