Sky High Role Play (In need of male characters!!!)

Zia was walking when she thought she heard something from inside the building she was near. Slipping inside, she tried to be as quiet as she could. Sliding next to the wall, she neared an open classroom door. From inside were sounds of....crying? Peeking around the doorway, she was surprised to see Melody huddled up in a corner crying. Melody! Strong, confident, unemotional Melody. Zia pulled her head back into the hallway before Melody noticed. Sliding down the wall the sit on the floor outside the classroom door, Zia contemplated what to do. Should she try to comfort her? Or just leave her alone? Zia knew from experience that sometimes the best thing was to be alone. But sometimes it was also nice to know that someone cared.

Melody hid her face in her hands, hearing some footsteps outside. They stopped abruptly, and the only reasonable expliantion was that they had heard her crying. There were only a few people she could think of tht it would be, and she didn't want to hear from the majority. "Go away." She forced her voice to steady, forced her tears to stop. "Just leave me alone." There were only two people that could make her feel better at that moment, and one of them had been dead for three years.

"Are you sure Melody?" Zia asked, her voice quavering. "I mean I can leave, I just wanted to make sure you knew I cared. Sometimes it's nice to know that." Zia but her lip unsure if she should just walk away or say something else.


Luke dialed the number and waited for someone to pick up. "Hello?...Yes...My name is Luke....freshman....uh ya can I get a large order of white rice, two large broccoli and chickens, and a large vegetable Lo Mein?....ya and extra duck sauce please....uh-hu....ok....awesome....the freshman/sophomore dorm lobby....ok thanks!"
He turned to Amber, "5 minutes! They said it would only take five minutes!! This is great." He smiled broadly, excited at the prospect of food.

Amber: "Wow....talk about fast food!" I giggled. "You don't mind if I take Jet a little back do you? I had to bribe her not to follow us around" I felt embarrassed to say that but I didn't know why

Melody groaned, shaking her head. She had to remind herself that it wasn't Zia's fault, that she didn't know that was a touchy subject for her. "Zia, I'm fine." She replied with a steady voice. She had had years of practicing and pretty much perfected it. "Really. Go find everyone else, I'll be there in a bit. They're in teh cafeteria, worried about you."

"Only if there's any left." Luke joked. "I mean I'm a teenage boy and you're a werewolf, I don't think there's going to be much left." Luke smiled and chuckled.

"Well...I don't really want to be with them." Zia then fell silent. She wanted to say something or do something, but Melody obviously wanted to be alone. It remind her of herself when....no don't think about that. Silent tears rolled down Zia's face as she remembered that awful time in her life. Wiping her eyes on the back of her hand, she pulled a blue carnation out of the air and laid it in the doorway. Getting up, Zia left without another word. As soon as she was outside, she ran to the dorm. Stumbling into her room, she flung herself onto her bed and cried. She sobbed and punched her pillow hoping no one would look for her.

Amber: "I actually don't eat that much. I eat normally in human form." I stated. "But same difference" I added

"Oh." Just then a person carrying delicious smelling Chinese food walked into the lobby. "You are Luke?" the man asked. "Yup." Luke replied. "Thanks so much!" The man nodded and walked back outside. "Let's go in the common room," Luke suggested. He started to walk in there. Setting the food out on a table in front of a couch and tv, he got situated. "You coming?" he called to Amber.

Amber: I followed him and sat down. "It smells-" I sucked in deep breath "Amazing" I smiled.

"i can go check my room for Zia"She says softly

Calvin turned toward Blackrose, "It's okay, I think I should probably go, thanks though. I'm sorry for going all lecturey on you guys, it's just that I feel... everything... that everyone else is feeling, whether they're showing it or not, and it gets kind of overwhelming sometimes, makes me feel like it's my responsibility to make it all better," he said, smiling weakly. "I'm gonna go now, after that mushy confession, and see if I can find them, just to make sure they're alright. See ya," he said solemnly, and quickly left the cafeteria without another word.

Calvin knew people didn't like to be lectured, but he kept feeling the need to do it because he wanted to prepare them. He could sense what was truly behind Wolfer's solemn demeanor. He knew exactly what being a superhero was going to be like, and it wasn't going to be all fun and games; it was going to be harsh and ugly and deadly sometimes. And it scared him for his new friends. They were so innocent. Yes, some of them had already lost people they loved, some of them had been essentially parentless for most of their childhood, but none of them had yet been forced to see or do the mind-numbing things that Wolfer and the other superheroes had seen and done. He hated the thought of Melody or Violet having to go through that. Or even myself! he realized, chuckling at his own admission of fear.

Calvin tried to push his fears and worries aside and enjoy his walk through the commons. It had turned out to be a beautiful day and he hadn't gotten to enjoy much of it yet. The sunbeams pushed through the thick tree cover and splashed the grass underneath with a thousand points of light. It was quite beautiful. Before coming here, he would have imagined swarms of invisible fairies dotting the earth sunshine-yellow with their bird-down brushes. But now such a fancy seemed frivolous, and somewhat irreverent. Calvin pushed on. He really had no idea where to find Melody or Zia, so he figured the best place to start would be the girl's dorm, but he wasn't even sure he would be allowed in.
