The proceeding hours were wretched for the young District Ten girl. She didn't know how long she had been there, nor how long the venom would be coursing through her veins before dooming her. She felt four stings, but she was unsure of there were any more. The hallucinations were absolutely horrifying. The trees bowed down, as of they would snap and bury her under their weight. Strange creatures flew in the sky, sometimes swooping down and moving back up before they could impale her. The sky was a roan color, and practically everything came to resemble a farm animal or something of that sort. The worst hallucination was when one of the ferocious muttations she'd been seeing came up and grabbed her swollen arm. She squealed, trying to move away, yet found she couldn't.
Serah stopped moving and stared up at Rye, recognition slowly filtering. Her breathing was ragged and her body shuddered, yet her eyes were trained on those warm honey-like eyes. "Rye--" She tried to say it, but barely any sound came out. She painstakingly moved her right arm and touched the singed areas of his hair in question. When she pulled her hand away, her expression resembled utter fear as what appeared to be slime trailed from her hand. The venom was not being kind to her now. She watche with sheer horror as Rye slowly melted, as if he were a snowman in the spring air. "No..." She croaked hoarsely, trying to get the 'slime' to stay on Rye's skin. Really, she was just poking his cheek.
