The blast of ice was clearly visible and it led Jake's eye's directly to it's source. so that is what you do, eh? he thought as he launched himself back into the crowd. Some of the crowd had stopped and were babbling to each other, no longer running. "Get moving you lunatic!" Jake shouted hoarsely, giving each one he encountered a hard shove. "Get out of here, hed to the ocean!" He kept running. The crowd was getting smaller as the city cleared but Jake was positive there would be people still trapped somewhere. Half the buildings in the city were on fire if not already long turned to ash. In the distance a giant sign for some sort of fast food had fallen and caved in the building next to it. "Hey! Toshiro! Over here!" he shouted again.
(actually, wouldn't ice be a lack of energy? it would give you energy to make ice, i think. once you got over the initial surge to change the structures of the molecules it would make sense that you would get energy because what is cold but a lack of heat. and heat is energy:) just a thought. no idea if this is actually true:) it probably isn't:P )
If beaks could smile, that would be what Erin would be doing now. As it was she settled for a satisfying ruffle of her feathers. Alright, time to stop gawking and get to work. She started scanning the caving buildings, looking in the windows with her sharp eye-sight, looking for movement. agh! this was rediculous, how was she supposed to find someone who needed help? There was no other way, she flew to the closest house, flying in through the shattered window frame. She landed in the center of the room, quickly recalling her human form. In moments she was herself, shaking off the pain, she dashed out. "Hello?! Hello!" she called, she waited for an answer, none. It was some sort of hotel, this was one of the rooms. Quickly she made it out to the hall, she ran down it banging on every door, "Get out! Come on!" Hopefully anyone who had been stuck here (the lava had already passed this spot after all, there was no way out unless you happened to know Toshiro) would hear her and come. When she reached the end of the hallway she began to smell the smoke. Clearly the building was on fire downstairs. "Get on the rooftop!" she screamed repeatedly as she ran back down the hallway to where the stairs going up were. She would have to do this to every floor. this was going to be exhausting. "We're getting you out! Get to the rooftop!"
