Before Jake could say another word, Ingrid materialized next to them. "Come 'ere!" she said simply, grabbing one of each of their hands and attempting with all her meager strength to drag them towards Erin. Jake met Erin's eyes and saw merriment dancing in them. Somehow he had a feeling they'd been roped into entertaining little miss endless-energy. He really didn't want to go. But... He couldn't tell Ingrid that, she obviously was looking forward to something.

"uh oh." He cried, rolling his eyes at Jake and allowed himself to be dragged. He glanced at Erin, what was she planning?

Ingrid grinned and ran to Erin, dropping their hands, expecting them to continue following. "I got them, Erin, they're coming!" she announced. Jake had allowed himself to be taken thus far and went ahead and continued coming. He stopped behind Erin who had been hollowing out an indent in the sandy ground. "Help me out, Jake," she said without turning around. "You're gonna help me dig your own grave," she chuckled. Oh, so that was what was going on, they were going to be buried. He rolled his eyes, but whatever, that was okay. He helped her scoop out a few more armfuls and then laid flat.

Ingrid regrabbed Kuro's hand, "C'mon, we're going to make one for you too!" she proclaimed, crouching right next to the indent already made and trying to copy Erin's movements in her own.

(and they're going to get buried right next to each other XD )

Kurosuna sighed but went along with it. As long as it got Jake off his back, he was good with it. So, he preceded to help Ingrid dig 'his own grave.' He layed down like Jake did, when they finished.

Ingrid joyfully began to shovel the little pile of sand they had made back onto Kuro. Erin followed suit with Jake, starting at his feet and working her ways upward. "Jake, stop twitching," she scolded. Ingrid joyfully echoed the order, shaking her finger at him like a grumpy old librarian. The effect was only cute though and Jake suppressed the urge to laugh and tried to quiet the thought. He pursed his lips and mouthed, "oh, sorry," in the most contrite manner he could manage. He relaxed and closed his eyes, fighting the urge to hold his breath

(do you get that urge when laying on your back? to hold one's breath? maybe it's just me XD )

(I used to. But when I had my surgery, I had to sleep on my back a lot, so I kinda got over it XD )

Kurosuna closed his eyes. It felt kind of peaceful, being buried in sand. And he wasn't to thinking that because he was a sand elemental. It just felt warm.and comfortable.

(hehe.sleepy thoughts. )

(I can't sleep on my back, I just can't. O.o I'm just glad I've never had appendicitis cause then I'd HAVE to:P Yet, despite my inability to sleep, I always have a terrible urge to close my eyes and hold my breath unless my head is propped on a pillow. then I have no urge whatsoever to hold my breath and only occasionally to close my eyes O.o XD If I may ask, what type of surgery did you have?)

Jake opened one eye and peeked over at Kuro, his eyes were closed and he seemed completely at ease. Erin had reached Jake's upper chest now and was beginning to cover his shoulders, trying to keep it out of his face. Ingrid wasn't quite as far nor nearly as careful in her work.

"There," Erin announced, putting the final touches around Jake's head. He twitched and it opened up a crevice in the sand, "hey!" she protested. He opened his mouth to apologize and only made it worse. She glared at him and he grinned a bit sheepishly before schooling his expression and not moving. "All done!" she announced to Ingrid who immediately came over to see. "Help me with Kuro now!" Ingrid pleaded. Erin complied, helping the child do the last of his shoulders and head.

(what now? Do they become 'sand monsters' and chase her around? Or just lay there for awhile and do something else?)

(oh what was it called...pectosexcavatem. Probably spelled that wrong XD. It's when your chest, instead of being flat, sinks in. Apparently it can grow to be so bad that it crushes your lungs. Those are the rare cases I think... They take a flat metal bar, bent inwards at the tips, and make it the size of your chest. They make 3 small insertions, 1 on each side and 1 in the middle. They somehow slide the bar through one side. They stick their finger through the middle and place their finger over the heart and slide the bar over, so they won't damage the heart. Once it's all the way through, they flip the bar over, literally popping the chest out. You keep the bar in for 2-4 years I think)

Kurosuna opened his eyes at the nickname. He smirked "I've got a nickname already?" He couldn't help but fidget when they got near his head. He just didn't like people near his head, but he managed to get still anyway.

(wow O.O that's amazing! well, that reaction came out wrong XD (using that again hehe) amazing how they do it that is:) I'm assuming you're doing awesome after that;) he never told them his whole name XD He introduced himself as Kuro XD

Kurosuna narrowed his eyes. He wasn't sure he wanted to give his name. "Kuro." Is all he gave him, before turning to help with John.
