Kitayla didn't respond. She just let the fire burn her more, not even flinching.

Mazim walked toward her "Kit! You're hurting yourself! He quickly grabbed the fire and threw it into the lake." He then kissed her cheek "Please! Don't hurt yourself...just because others are already in pain."

Lashaann looked terrible, she was worried about Suiren, more than anyone else. She felt like a mother to him.

Kitayla just looked at him, then at her hands. They had painful looking blisters all over them. But, she didn't seem to care. Kit looked up at him again, then made some more fire and walked away.

Mazim began to cry "These...are sad times...by did it have to be us! Why did we have to ruin our lives to save everyone else!"

Lashaann looked distantly into Suiren's eyes.

Kitayla climbed up a tree and continued playing with the fires. She made sure not to burn any of the tree, not wanting to started a forest fire or pollute the air with smoke.
