Parker cheerfully led her to the Mess hall.

Cody knelt down beside Kenzie and gave her a cough drop, "I think you might be getting sick."

Kenzie shook her head. "I can't be."

Cody sighed, "You keep coughing, and you're freezing."

Jayden lay there for awhile as he took in her words, his head spinning with rage, jealousy and protectiveness. He could feel his heart clench at the words 'love life'. That had snapped a few strings, most likely added another crack to his small collection. Well.. this was obvious she didn't care for him anymore, or maybe she was just too hurt to care. Either way, he didn't care. He would keep an eye out for her, no matter what she felt for him. He couldn't bare to see her hurt.
