Whether you love school or hate it, it doesn't really matter. You're forced to go. Not just by parents, but by law. They don't care what school you're in, just as long as your guardians are paying the education fee. Here at the Ridge, it's like any other school. There are the preps, the jocks, the nerds, the loners, etc., and guess what? All are separated into their own groups whether they know it or not. The preps, they know it and like it. The jocks, they know it, and some may or may not like it. Loners will deny any grouping, but we all know the truth. It's exactly the same anywhere else. Don't let that cheery entrance letter make you think any differently. The staff is just too blind to see it.
But really, who are we to blame but ourselves? We made these groups. We're the ones fueling the fire. The students keep these traditions alive, and there's no stopping them. So come on in, welcome to the Ridge. Cherish your time here. It's just become your new battleground.

School Description-
It's your basic brick school. There is a football field out back, along with a few tennis courts and a baseball field. Inside, there is a hockey arena that is only put up during winter. It is used for charitable(bake sales, craft sales, etc.) sales during the summer and spring. Their gym is used for basketball and volleyball games. They have one soccer field. Their team name is West Ridge Eagles, and their colors are red and silver. That's about it. Use your imagination for the rest.

Personality: Dakota is very quiet and reserved. It's not that he's anti-social, he just is shy; very, very shy. He gets extremely embarrassed at the littlest things. He is very smart, the smartest in his family, but he's at a loss in front of a crowd. He gets stage-fright in front of even small groups like a class. He can talk very well, he can explain things wonderfully, but his stage-fright always gets the better of him. Not many people like him considering he's so quiet, and even if he wanted to be in one of the cliques, he's relatively sure no one would even want him.

History: They've moved from town to town, which is odd, since their parents have jobs that keep them in one spot. Though it could also be the fact that their father has to go to certain banks every so often. The kids expect they will be moving again shortly.
Family: Father who owns a bank, and a mother who is a cop. His siblings include two older brothers, one younger brother, and a younger sister.

Nickname: His siblings call him Holly.

Personality: Hollester is the most anti-social of the family, and also the most intimidating. He also has some muscle to back up his threats. He is extremely over-protective of all of his younger siblings, especially over the youngest sibling, Takela. He often treats her like his own daughter, and treats her ten times better than his brothers. Anyone who dares push his siblings around has him to answer to. He tends to be rude to outside people, just to have them leave him alone. In every past school, he was considered popular, just for his looks. He hates that fact, and will refuse to admit it if anyone asks. In every other school, he hated random hordes of girls fawning over him, and he still hates it. He absolutely despises his father, and will avoid him at all costs.

Personality: Landon is the polar opposite of his twin. He's very cheery and peppy, you'll rarely see him with a frown unless he's teasing. He doesn't go with the flow, he makes his own path. He is extremely optimistic, and always tries to cheer up everyone around him. He used to be nearly the same as his twin; quiet, reserved, not letting anyone into his shell, but after getting his first real friend, he started to open up. He is rather disliked by Hollester, though it's not hate. He just doesn't like the fact that his twin is so... Happy. Landon can seem rude sometimes, though it's all in good fun.

Personality: Peregrine isn't like any of his brothers. He's not quiet, but he's not loud. He's relatively normal, save for the occasional outburst of anger or excitement. He is the only one of the family that can draw very well, and he often works together with his younger sister with stories; he illustrates while she writes. He can draw realistic and manga-style, though he prefers manga-style. He has plans to work with his sister to create an American manga. Another trait of Peregrine is that he loves to act. Acting is his life, and he's always depressed if he doesn't make the school play. He lies his way out of things very well because of his acting. He is very dramatic sometimes, often over-reacting over small things such as cutting his finger.

Personality: Takela can be described in two words: Expressive Rebel. Her sense of fashion is very extreme, ranging from goth jeans and a t-shirt to a cheery, happy, preppy tank and mini-skirt. She changes every day, as does her hair. She gets different colored sprays and streaking dye that washes out in a day. She is also very rebellious, not caring about her grades or what people think about her. As Landon had told her: She's basically any guy's dream. There's one tiny down-fall, though. She is disgusted by men. Mainly the desperate ones, or ones who just "want her", but not really love her. She has vowed never to go out until she thinks that the guy has room to grow around what she wants.

Nickname: Xavery, or Xav if you're close
Age: 16
Gender: male
Personality: Xavery is quite like a bomb in a few senses. He's often quiet, relaxed and, as some would say, "chilled". He just never really cares. Until you get him mad, then you're dead. He will not stand for anyone angering him. He will stalk, maim, knock out, and even attempt to severely injure anyone he has his sights set on. He's gained quite the reputation, and so far, it has not been broken. There's always a new kid who hears about him who thinks they can boss him around, but he soon puts him into their place. Xavery is not strong per se, he uses his wits more than anything, and he's incredibly agile. He's somewhat nice if you know him, but he still doesn't open up to many. He is definitely a back-stabber. Just because you did something nice for him, doesn't mean he'll return the favor. He doesn't have any "friends", considering he often "betrays" any friendship that may have been blossoming.
Appearance:
History: Xavery's father ran away, abandoned the family, before Xavery was even born. His mother never wanted him, either, but she didn't just want an abortion, so she raised him. She never cared about her son, though, and he learned to fend for himself at a very young age. He was never hurt by his mother, so he assumed it was alright. It wasn't until he was around twelve did the abuse actually start. He knew not to disobey his mother in any way, or he'd be hit. Now, he just evades any punishment by immediately going to his room and not coming down until it's safe for food.
Family: He never knew his dad. He lives with his abusive mother.

Gender: male
Personality: Abel isn't exactly the nicest person in the world. He always keeps a promise, but he does find loopholes. You can be guaranteed he will follow through with his promise, but you never know when or how he'll go about it. He could be described as a sarcastic punk, and in reality, he is. To strangers, acquaintances, and just people he doesn't know well, he's kind of a jerk. To his best of friends, he's actually rather kind and generous. Underneath his facade, he's really quite the sweetheart, his shell just has to be chiseled away.

History: He actually lives alone. His parents abandoned him a few years back. He came home one day to find them gone. No note or anything. He stayed at home for a few days, thinking they went on a trip they forgot to tell him about, but they never did come back. Most of the things in the house were also gone, so now he lives alone. He has his own job to help him pay off bills and such, though he's wondering if he'll make it with school.
Family: His mother and father, who are long gone. He doesn't know if he has any siblings or not.

Nickname: Vivi, Viv, Vicky, Vick, VJ
Age: 16
Gender: female
Personality: Vivi is, to put it simply, a flirt. She will flirt with basically anything that could be considered a human male. Her only restrictions are: No younger than 14 and no older than 25. She loves older guys, but not too much older. She will flirt with younger ones, but refuses to be in a relationship with a guy who is younger than her. Vivi is very spontaneous, often confusing most men. One moment, she'll be all for a fun little date at the local cafe, and the next she'll be expecting some fancy high-class dinner. Her favorite color seems to change every day, but most revolves around purple. She loves purple things and elephants; a purple elephant would make her the happiest person in the world. Despite all of her flirting tendencies, she's actually looking for someone to go steady with, she just can't stop herself from flirting with other guys and breaking up any serious relationship she may have been going for. She can be a bit helpless and hopeless at times, and freaks out if anything goes wrong. She is a very good singer and enjoys acting, her favorite sport is tennis.
