Matt sighed and went to get a blanket, rapping around her shoulders he murmured "your okay" into her ear.

Selene sighed and sat back down on the couch. "So how long have you been living here?" she asked trying to make conversation

"For 18 years," he replied as he looked at Selene. "Selene...how old are you?" he felt liek a pervert. he was 21 now, and she looks about 17-18.

"You know, you're lucky that I helped you.." Jayce said finally. " I've let at least two girls die. They didn't trust me.." He sighed and blew his hair out of his face.

Belle stared up at him, clutching his arm. "Yeah right.." She muttered disbelievingly.

"Nineteen" Selene replied. "Why?" she asked looking at him curiously. "How old are you?" she asked

Matt "Well I'll try to make it that way" he said suddenly looking into her eyes. "That monster won't hurt you ever" he said confidently

Bella stared back up at him. She fell against him and closed her arm, suddenly feeling safe.

Sighing Matt carried Belle to the couch and laid her on it. "You can rest now" he muttered

Bella stared up at him suspiciously. She stood up. " I dunno...I don't think I'm tired.." She finally said, standing up and walking over to the window, staring out into the trees. As she leaned forward, her hair fell forward too, until it was in front of rather than behind her back.
