The vampirics are a hated species. They need the blood of humans to survive and their Goddess is hated among human religions. They are sensitive to sunlight and have elemental powers. But they can be dangerous, since they need human blood to survive they sometimes attack humans.

The vampiric goddess Shemesta fell in love with a human. She took him to the spirit world with her but her guardian became jealous for he too loved Shemesta. Shemesta banished him from the spirit world. He vowed revenge.
A high priestess for Shemesta accidently brought her and her consort to earth during a ceremony. Shemesta is trapped on earth with her consort and her blood thirsty guardian.
