Christopher lifted his head from his notebook and frowned at all the humans. He backed away closer in his corner, trying to hide from them. "Mph." he grumbled before scribbling on his notebook. None of his friends were here yet. He was always the first. Chris sighed and set his pencil down, then watched the students with the most bored expression he could show.

Laila closed her locker after shoving her books into her backpack. She walked through the halls with her head down with strands of her dark brown hair falling over her eyes. She didn't care and continued to walk through the halls not really looking where she was going. She was new here so she didn't know anyone here. She just moved into her grandparents' house here after her parents died. She was deep in thought as she walked through the hall way like a dark shadow.

Bree made her way through the hall, glancing around for a clock here and there, needing to know the time desperatley. Her teacher kept her in class for how long she didn't know. Apperantley she's failing math. She had no need for math that she knew. Bree wanted to become a photographer which didn't have anything to do with math... That she knew. Finally finding a clock she looked up at it and cussed under her breath, finding she was supposed to be at work right now. She ran through the halls swiftly avoiding the crowds until she tripped on her shoelace, resulting in her books flying in several different directions. She began to pick them up as quick as she could.

Jacob made his way through the halls boredly, not really caring when he bumped into someone. He got glares all around, for he was known for being rude and seeming to be on a high horse. Jacob didn't care. He felt that he was above everyone, that's why he didn't like to hang around anyone. He thought they were so pathetic that his time would be wasted talking to them. The only person he really cherished was Bree for she was the only one who didn't obsess over little things like not having a car or a bad hair day.

Christopher smiled weakly and stood up. He put his notebook away and walked towards Bree. "Nice fall. I wasn't laughing, but the ground was cracking up." Chris chuckled and picked up a few of her books. Humans. He thought with distaste. He didn't even know why he was here. No one paid attention to him. Corner kid. He scowled at thought the instant he thought it. "Chris. Are you new here, or no? I haven't seen you around here." Christopher turned to her and smiled. Might as well be nice.

She laughed lightly at his joke, knowing she pry did look stupid as she fell, but Bree was a little confused for she never saw him either. "No, I've been here for a while. I've never seen you here though." She half smiled and said, "My name is Bree, like the cheese." She groaned inwardly after she said it, and picked up her remaining books. "Nice to meet you Chris." Bree shifted her books to one arm and put her hand out to shake his hand. She didn't know why she was being polite, she was never this way. But then, no one ever really introduced themselves

Marie walked through the hallway and headed to her class. She stopped and looked at a boy she knew as Chris...a boy she'd liked for a long time. She felt bad...people always called him 'corner kid.' and things as such. But of course, people called her 'shy girl', too. She sighed and shifted her backpack over her shoulder, seeing as though it was killing her. She watched as a girl tripped and fell in front of Chris. The two began talking. She felt a small twang of jealousy, but still, why should she be? It's not like he'd ever notice her, anyways. She suddenly realized she was standing in the middle of the hall, staring like an idiot. She didn't really care at the moment, though. It's not like they saw her.

Christopher shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "Well, I'm a senior. Everyone knows me. They just don't care. It's like I don't even exist to them." He tilted his head up in thought. Cheese? "Oh. Oh, cool. That's, um, nice." Chris shook her hand and smiled. "Nice to meet you too, Bree. What grade are you in?"

"Well I don't know you." Bree grinned, "But I'm not part of 'everyone'. I miss alot of things as well," She tilted her left foot a little, showing him her untied shoelace, "As you've seen. Or we just have classes on the other sides of the school, I don't know. Alot of people don't know about me. I keep to myself. And it's nice to meet you too. I'm a junior."

She stalked through the halls like the predator she was, eyes focused on the screen of her ridiculously expensive, might-as-well-be-a-tiny-laptop phone as she typed at lightning speed. The unlit cigarette in her mouth jiggled as she absently worried at the end of it with her teeth, fangs scraping across her bottom lip. The text she was typing out was a full-page report on her first day; she'd never minded their demand that she report in at least once a day, particularly once cell phones came along. She was surprisingly adaptable for someone just under 300 years old.

Her nostrils flared as she pressed "send." Vampire, vampire, full of ash, drink too much blood and die at last. She hummed pleasantly, smiling a smile that didn't match those cruel eyes. She flipped the cell phone closed and pocketed it, closing her eyes for a long moment. Breath in. Breath out... When her eyes opened, they were no longer the cruel hunter's eyes, tinged with crimson, and her smile was faint and soft. There was a girl watching the vampire--her name was Marie, if Avery recalled correctly. A nice, simple name with a somewhat unusual spelling. A French spelling. For that alone she liked her.

"Hey, you alright? You look a bit out of it," she murmured, stopping to touch her shoulder and smile at her, a smile that was eaasy to believe. She actually rather liked humans, in her own way. Maybe even more than vampires. It was just hard to tell most of the time, since she liked to play around too.
