Grant bit the inside of his cheek. Crazy? Why crazy...? He cleared that thought, wondering if it just enforced his previous idea. "Yeah, I'm glad to see we managed to get along. So, how was life in 11?" He decided to make conversation, and mentioning the boy's District would probably help.

I felt my smile fade into a subtle frown. "My life? Well, farming, going unnoticed, hiding, being alone. Ignored. Then it got betyer at the reaping when I volunteered for a suicide mission so a little boy wouldn't be slaughtered."

I gasped like i had just remembered something. " Get up! Get up!" I said, climbing off his lap and pulling him to his feet. " You said you'd teach me how to dance, correct? Well, since we're going to the games together, you might as well teach me now." I said, pulling him into the middle of the roof. " I can't work in these" I said, taking off my heels and placing them out of the way. I smiled up at him. " What's first?" I asked, my blue eyes meeting his.

Mandy got up quickly with surprise. Realizing her request, he smiled but tried to think of where to start. "Well, you remember how we where dancing right? With your hand on my shoulder my hand on your waist, and these hands holding each other?" he said as he took her into his arms like a dance.

I smiled slightly at him, grabbing his hand gently in mine and placing my hand on his shoulder. " M'hmm. I remember, now what next?" I asked curiously, looking up at him.

Grant scolded himself. He had struck a nerve! Stupid, stupid. Why did you say that? Stupid, stupid, stupid! He sighed silently, thinking of something to change the subject, but all he could think of was his reaping. "I volunteered for ayoung boy... too. He was the only support for his family..." He gulped, the entire scene replaying in his head. Change the subject! Change the subject! He panicked to himself, keeping an outer calm matter. Grant's head began spinning. He couldn't think how to change the subject and lighten the mood. Uh... um... ugh! Just leave! Go! But his feet stayed planted in the ground, leaving him scrambling for what to say. Luckily yet sadly, nothing on his body gave away his panic, except staying silent. But Jesse couldn't know him well enough already to realize that, could he?

I've seen this before, so I shrugged as if it were nothing. "Again, not a mindreader but you didn't strike a nerve. I'm being serious when I say it was a good thing to volunteer at the reaping. Live in luxury before my final days? Count me in." For Grant's sake, I smiled at him.

Mandy laughed. "Now it all depends on a song the step." He hummed a song quietly, "we're going to dance to that beat okay. It's a one-two-three... one-two-three... beat so you'd step left right left but count 'one-two-three... one-two-three. It's quite easy. Also, it's like follow the leader who is always the male. Ready?" he asked as he started to hum the song again, giving Violet some times as they danced on the roof top.
