Grant rolled his eyes, irritated. He didn't even have to explain to this girl. All he simply said was, "Remember when we were talking earlier? Did I seem to think I was better than you then?" He shook his head slowly, voice cross. The boy swirled his rolling chair having his back facing her. He crossed his arms and propped his feet up on the next chair. Quickly regaining himself, Grant took a deep breath and looked the the people in front of him. "Hey, everybody. Where are you all from?" He grinned, trying to irritate Josslyn by seeming so relaxed.

And this was exactly why I hated boys. My thoughts of ever being allies with Grant were smashed to dust and I decided to focus on my original plan. Bear it alone. I was probably more skilled with a weapon than most of the tributes here. I knew how to use a spear, bow, knives, and I've even practiced with a trident for a few days when a District 4 escapee had stumbled across my District. The man was loony, I tell you. Said he was on his way to District 13. Which doesn't exist anymore. I ignored the girl and sat down beside a boy who didn't even touch his food. "Hey there."

District 11 | Jesse Black | Tribute
I had completely zoned out, absorbed into my own thoughts. I didn't touch my food nor did I register any of the conversations of fellow tributes around me. Then someone actually sat down, beside me. I looked up, blue eyes unreadable to see a girl with auburn hair, tied in a thick braid down her back, wearing a black strapless dress and make-up. Meh, looked like most of the female tributes around here. Then, the girl spoke to me. This day was just getting stranger and stranger. "Hey."

District 4||Dinner||Grant
I'm suppose to say my parents? I don't want to seem any more conceited than I already made myself look. Well, if she ended up asking, he would answer. But for now, he shrugged and grinned. "Name's Grant." She didn't say her name, so he didn't really have anything else to say.

(I'm not going by the book at the moment. I'm giving the tributes a chance to mingle, and it's almost time for their first dinner at the Capitol. Then the interviews, training sessions, etc. The characters have a choice to be happy or depressed.)

|| okay... but it still doesn't make much sense. I can unstand mingling, like gossip or mutters going to each other but fill out 'I LIKE COOKIES!' is quite weird. No offense to anybody. ||

Mandy shifted his weight from one foot to the next, hating the feeling going on the crowd. Everybody seemed to be so excited to be there. Why? Cause they where stupid of course. They didn't realize that they could be the next people to D I E. Mandy started to shake ever so slightly with stress. He needed to get out of the area, and fast!

Brianna wandered aimlessly through the crowds, eaves dropping on on peoples conversations. Smiling at some and frowning at others. They all seemed to be acting like life was normal although she managed to shrug it off. She walked quickly into a small coffee shop that was open and ordered a caramel lattee. She payed grasiously with a tip for been open on a day like it was and returned out side to stand in the sidelines, wanting to shrink into dissapearence as she sipped her latee.

Grant nodded. "Well then, nice to meet ya Jess. What District are ya from? I'm District 4." He was just trying to make conversation with simple, classic questions. If he got to know a bit more about her, then maybe he could make better conversation.

I saw a boy shaking softly a little bit away and i walked over to him, tapping his shoulder lightly. " Are you ok?" I asked in a pretty quiet voice. I put my hand back down and held them behind my back, looking at him and waiting for an answer.
