Alex sighed and stood up, grabbing a soda from the fridge. She sat back down and waited.

Alex shrugged. "Go fo rides around town, go for walks, do art. Ya know. You?"

Fenrir barked and wagged his tail when Esperanza praised him. Then she started to walk away, and the only thing that seemed sensible to do was follow. The inu got up, and did just that, trotting after her with a happy look on his face. When he got outside, he saw Naomie being placed in one of those metal things. He'd ridden in one before, a few times. The last time had been to come here. It had smelled like medicine, and blood...His blood. His smile faded at the memory, then jumped back onto his face as he waved to Naomie. Those metal things were so strange to him. The didn't live, yet they moved, and appeared to breathe, or at least exhale. Their fumes smelled terrible though, and they were rather loud.

Alex smiled nad took the ball, bouncing it. She tossed it up and watched the rubber ball jiggle in the air and trmeble back down.
