Aura yawned, waking up and looking around. She suddenly remembered that today was the Reaping. She sighed, getting out of bed.

Damien got out of bed and stretched, freezing when he remembered what was happening today.

Aura made her way outside. Maybe a walk would clear her nerves? Nope. The weather was chilly, although the sky was blue.

Damien remained frozen, until he came to his senses and pulled on clean clothes. Then he ran outside and yelled at the sky. "I will not get picked!" He roared.

"Hey there, Damien." Aura called, waving.

Damien smiled weakly. "Todays the day..." He said.

"Sure is." Aura said, walking over. "May the odds be ever in your favor." She laughed, saying it very quietly.

Damien scowled. "Hopefully today, they will be for both of us." He said, sounding sad. "And for who does get picked, I pity them."
