I blush and look down. "Cause I think you're cute." I say in an almost inaudible murmur, trailing my finger around in the dirt.

"Yes, I have, the other tribute from my district, why don't I show you to her?" Karter said, slowly wandering toward Lyla, who was sitting in her chair.

Noelle felt tears start to spill from her eyes. She could not stand to see others suffer. "Please, I'm sorry Tide." Normally, she would have walked over and gave him a hug. This time, no emotion overpowered her. Except for sadness. All she did was walk closer and gently put her hand on her shoulder, "I know how it is, and if I win, I promise to teach Tom how to fish." What did I just say?! Noelle facepalmed herself, "Sorry, that was not the right thing to say." Her hand was still planted on his shoulder. When she noticed, Noelle took her hand off and looked to the ground, blushing.

"Thanks. That... that means a lot to me." Tide murmured, a small smile on his face. A small shudder ran through his body when she touched him. It wasn't noticable, but to him, he knew that his feelings were true. He turned his gaze up towards Noelle and just held her gaze for a few moments. He was finally coming to grips with the fact that he probably wasn't going to be coming home. Inwardly he smiled a little. If he couldn't go home... then he knew who he wanted to go home instead. Noelle. As he watched the others around him, and Noelle, he began to devise a plan.

Minus one friend. My only friend just so happened to be Fleur, and now she admitted she had a crush on me. I'm not mean or anything, I'm just not really interested in romance or girls and stuff. I preferred my guy friends, and my research on plants. I didn't have time for silly relationships. Kodi already had many girlfriends before. I didn't want that. "I should go home. Father will awake soon."

"Understood." I said as I got up, and slowly walked off. I don't need him anyways! I good with just one friend... I huffed and headed towards the spot I hid my bow and arrows. Angry at myself, I shot arrow after arrow into my victim: a poor, old tree a fair distance off.
