I sat down on the couch again, elbow on my knees as my blue gaze stared down at the floor. The TV screen was not amusing, nor the shows on it. My mind was elsewhere. Mainly Pali and how he would survive now, living in the Seam back at home. He knew how to tend to the garden. Maybe he'd make it.

District 1||Capitol||Spark

Spark looked away from the TV, blonde curls bouncing. She looked over to see another boy who wasn't watching. Shyly, she tapped him on the shoulder. She whispered, "Don't like this, either? I'm Spark, from District 1, by the way." The girl figured it might be a good idea to get to know her fellow tributes a bit, maybe form an alliance. not that that would happen with her low amount of skill. She blinked, mascara outlining her eyes as the red lipstick was doing for her, well,lips. Spark tried to force a smile, but only got to a very small one before dropping the corners of her mouth once more.

I felt myself flinch away when I looked up at Spark. District 1. Luxuries for the Capitol. She wore makeup, which made me want to scream. "No, I hate this," I manage to say, composing myself again. I had ticked off my stylists because I refused to dress up for the games.

Spark cocked her head slightly to the side. Is this boy angry with her for some reason? "It's absolutely dreadful! I don't understand why they'd pretty us up if we're just going to die, anyway... I hate everything about this." The girl shook her head, now upset with herself. Shut up, Sparky. Stop making a fool of yourself! She forced a small smile, willing herself to magically get out of all the makeup, reapings, and upcoming deaths.

"Why would you hate this?" I snapped. "You've probably been training your whole life for this, just like all the other Careers!" My voice was icy, fury blazing in my blue eyes.

District 1||Capitol||Spark

Spark jumped back, falling back off the arm of the couch. "Wha!" She sat back up, blushing with emberassment. She looked down, cheeks burning bright red. In a small murmur, she said, "I-I'm not a Career. I don't train. I've never fought in my life- Ugh!" She smacked herself on the forehead and sank down the couch until she was slightly above the floor, thanks to support of the couch. She closed her eyes, face bright red with anger at herself for telling that fact and emberassment. Now I look even WEAKER!!!

My arms were crossed across my chest, and I still glared down at her. I didn't need allies. Especially not kids from District 1 or 2.

District 1||Capitol||Spark

Spark re-situated herself, adjusting her dove white dress. She let out a quiet sigh and sat back on the couch, trying to avoid looking at Kodi. Now, she was intimidated by yet one more person. I'll be dead BEFORE the games even start! She slowly shook her head, but not shaking a lot, just small motions. Her blonde and black curls draped back over her ears after she put them behind them, so obviously it was no use. The teenage girl looked up at the TV, but not for long. Eventually, she looked back down with a small sigh. A few curls covered bits off her pale face, and she hoped the boy who hated her for some reason wasn't looking. He din't need something to make fun of her with. Especially crying. As hard as she tried, a few black mascara-tinted teardrops fell into her lap.

District 12/Citizen/Fleur-du-Lys

Fleur wandered aimlessly around her room, preoccupied with new ideas for a painting based on the Hunger Games. Hmm, she thought as she flicked her paintbrush, maybe I could draw Tributes, mid-battle! No, no that won't do. she continued to ponder for a couple more minutes and finally decided to just sit down.
