Ray ended up sat next to a person called Tide, "Hello," She said.

Tide stiffened slightly with mild surprise as Ray sat down next to him. "Hey. I don't think I caught your name." He said softly, his tone friendly. He was nervous here...but weren't almost all of them? He might as well try to relax and make a few friends before he was thrown to his death into the arena. He sighed softly, conflicting emotions flashing across his fairly handsome face. He was terrified of the idea of entering the Hunger Games, though he was determined to at least try. That was more than some did, at least. "I'm Tide, by the way. In case you were wondering... and if it isn't obvious by my name, I'm from District 4." He smiled slightly, forcing his emotions back down into his mind. He didn't need to share those with everyone here. He shrugged, trying to stay good natured and friendly.

"I'm Ray," She smiled "District 12." She looked at all the people around her.

Kodi was relieved when Ray moved away from him and the tribute immediately got up. He didn't want company right now.

Ray watched as Kodi walked away. Did he not like her either? You are being paranoid, She told herself. Everyone is like that now.

"Well, nice to meet you Ray from District 12." Tide said, a friendly grin on his face. He took a deep breath, dispensing of all of nervous and worried thoughts. "So what made you come over here next to a strange kid from District Four?" HE asked, cocking his head and looking at Ray. She looked completely calm and happy. Curious, he wondered how she did it.

"well, I'm probably going to die anyway and won't have to kill all the people so I may as well make friends." I seem cheery even though I'm not.

"Same here." Tide said, shrugging. He showed a little bit of fear in his blue eyes as he glanced over at Ray. "Believe me, I feel the exact same. It's quite terrifying really. But I'm pretty sure you can't be THAT calm about facing your death and being killed by the kids you know.... if that's what your aiming for." He pointed out, frowning deeply as he studied Ray's face with curiosity. He sighed softly, putting his hands behind his head and leaning back. "Oh, by the way, did you know my Middle name is Ray?"
