As the teacher turned his back, Escott smirked victoriously and slid out of his seat, hurrying over to the empty seat near Sunny. "Hi!" He whispered brightly, his smile wide.

:Sunny:

I looked over to see Escott grinning brightly. Holding in a soft laugh, I whispered, "Hey!" I glanced at the teacher to make sure he wasn't watching.

Escott nodded happily. "It's about time I got someone to talk to in here!" He chimed quietly, pushing his glasses up only to have them fall down on his nose again. "You excited about the break? And the ball?"

:Sunny:

I smiled. "Same here; I already know how to construct a sentence!" At his question, I nodded happily. "Yeah! I'm excited; I've never been to a dance before...what about you? Excited?"

Escott laughed softly, glancing at the teacher, and turned back to Sunny. "I'm excited, but odds are I'm just gonna sit around the whole time, during both the break and the ball." He chuckled quietly.

:Sunny:

"Not if you ask someone to go to the ball," I pointed out, smiling. "You could ask, Erm, what's her name? Mizuki?"

[Sake]

"Ah," Escott frowned slightly. "I dunno about that, Sunny... I'm not exactly a girl's first choice. And she probably already has a date." He shrugged.

:Sunny:

"Don't say that, you're awesome," I encouraged, smiling. I glanced quickly at the teacher, then went on. "Besides, you'll never know if you don't ask."

Escott sighed, turning forward. "I don't think so. I'll talk to her there, I guess." He frowned, resting his arm across the desk. "But I don't know. I'm not sure I really like her..." He bit his lip, resting his cheek in his palm, and chuckled. "How confusing."
