Underfell winced, the numbness of his body leaving, letting him feel the pain of the small crack on his temple. He rubbed it. "Ahhhuugh..." He muttered.

"Did... did I do that?" Gaster asked cautiously, already fairly sure of the answer. Another summoned hand appeared, hovering around Underfell's head, tentatively reaching out towards the crack.

Underfell stepped back. His eyes blazed. "PROBABLY!" He shouted with a growl, eyes narrowed, their red fire making a trail behind him in the wind.

The hands vanished, and Gaster retreated a step nervously.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Please believe me when I say that I would never intentionally hurt you. I'm not - I don't think - I am the same Gaster as the one you know." He spoke quickly, trying to explain it to the skeleton as fast as possible.

"Oooooh sure. The old man's trying to redeem himself. Nicely played, doc, but I don't believe you for one, one second." Underfell said angrily, rage dripping thickly off his voice.

"No! Well uh.. yes? Ughh." Gaster made a strangled sound of annoyance. "I'm not going to go into the whole timeline ridiculousness because I'm still trying to figure it out and I'm me. The short of it is, I'm not your Gaster, I'm his Gaster." He indicated to Sans as he spoke.
"And believe me when I say I'm trying really hard to get people to trust me again at the moment."

He took a deep breath.
"What I said earlier about your brother is true. Him and his robot partner are at the house right now, and he's worried about you."
