J.D.'s frown softened into a smile, and he struck the branches together again, grinning as they began to crackle in a small fire. He then tossed them onto the pile, which began to burn slowly but surely. He then turned to Ain. "You sound like you miss someone from back home, huh? What was your fami-" He cut off the word family and coughed, restarting his question. "What were those people who looked out for you like..?"

Ain nods a little. "The group I was with was called the El Search Party... And the group was very interesting. Full of different people... But they all wanted to make sure that we were all safe... Even if I didn't register that right away" he says before giving a small sigh. "I don't normally feel guilt or regret but if I could be with them again I'd try to give myself a clean slate to work with" he adds.

At the last few words Ain said, J.D.'s face lit up a bit. "I bet we wish we could all clean the slate, don't we? That's just the way things happen sometimes though-your first impression doesn't go well or you act like a jerk or something..happens to me more times than I can count." He smiled a little, possibly to cover up some other emotion, and sat down on the ground by the fire. "But I'm sure they don't hate you for whatever it is happened. They clearly want to protect you."

Ain gives a small nod. "Well except for 1 probably..." he adds that more quietly. "But yes to clean the slate would be nice... I wasn't exactly the nicest to other members and many have pointed it out to me... for me to not learn my lesson until now" he says. "I can only pray that they don't hate me... That's if they even remember me..." the last part was like a whisper.

J.D. tilted his head a little but decided not to ask anything more. "Hey, one of these days we're gonna get you back home, okay? And if they don't remember you you can start fresh, and if they do remember you you can apologize! I'm sure they'll understand-" He paused and looked down. "I know what it's like to make mistakes. Mine are...major-but I'm sure yours can be fixed. There's no time like the present."

Ain glances at the boy before nodding. "That is true... But I believe my biggest mistake is keeping something very important a secret from them..." he says frowning a little. He's sure that they think that he died to Solace's hands... Well Elsword mostly... All because he made himself seem too human. Then there was also the fact that he didn't want to go back due to knowing that he'd disappear from existence once he did reach "home".

J.D. was doing all he could to cheer the guy up, which wasn't his greatest skill. "Well...maybe we shouldn't think about that now...we al make mistakes but the more dire situation is where we are right now." He sighed. He felt like he was being too harsh. "A famous poet in my world once said 'remembering is only a new form of suffering'. If it hurts you so much to remember, wouldn't you just want to forget? That's how I see it."

Ain looks at him. "If only it was that easy for me..." he says with a small smile. "I realize we all mistakes, but it's hard to accept at times. Even harder if you aren't human..." he adds. "Though I regret some of my mistakes, it still makes me who I am. As Elsword; one of the companions that I was with, would say anyways"

This guy cared about these people. "If only I came from your world. Then I'd understand more.." He sighed. "Everything is so complicated, isn't it? It's funny." He looked off at nothing. "There were people I cared about back home. I don't think they care about me anymore, though."

Ain glances at him. "You'll never know until you see them again" he says. "But yes.... Everything may seem complicated but when you're at the end of your line, you'll see that complicated isn't always bad... Also I believe you wouldn't enjoy my world" he adds.
