Adrina looked over when she heard footsteps. She'd always had extremely good hearing, and she used it more often than was necessary. She spied a boy on the other side of the lake. She wanted to say something to him, but her shyness prevented her from doing much of anything around other people.

Chase was barefoot, and he dipped a toe in the lake. Immediately, he felt something nip the soft skin of his big toe. "Ow!" he jumped back, tripped over a rock....and fell in the lake with a splash.

Adrina's eyes widened, and she sprinted around, sliding to a stop where he fell in. "Hey, are you alright?!" she called out.

The water was shallow enough where he fell in for him to stand. His head emerged, soaking wet, and he spat lake water out of his mouth. "I'm wet....but fine." the Gryffindor trudged up the slanted bank and shook his head like a dog, drops of water splattering everywhere.

[AyanaN]

Adrina jumped away. "Augh! Now I'm soaked!" she complained, laughing.

"Sorry." he said sheepishly, spitting more water out of his mouth. "Yuck. The lake water takes like socks."

[AyanaN]

Adrina just laughed. "And you would know what socks taste like...how?" the Ravenclaw girl asked.

[dionaea]

"Lucky guess....?" he offered. His younger years had actually been spent with socks in his mouth, thanks to his two older brothers. They used to sit on him and shove their dirty socks into his mouth. Yet he still loved them.

[AyanaN]

Adrina didn't question it. "So, what're you doing out here, this late at night?" she asked, sitting on one of the larger rocks near the lake.

[dionaea]

"Just...wandering." he said, not sure how to respond. He didn't even know what he was doing, to be honest.
