"It's a long story that will have us standing around all day." Emerald huffed, folding his arms. "Kendal couldn't get to me if he wanted to. Bet."

Cole grinned. "Just.. finally am getting in better spirits. So I thought 'why not go mess around with my kids?'."

Zane laughed, "And this is why you do not take something you found in your freezer that you had no idea you even had and eat it, Jay. I thought you would have learned that by now!"

Cambria looked at them and smiled. "You two are cute together."

"You think." Zane chuckled, shaking his head. "I hope you did not get sick or anything like that. Let us buy these pretzels that are guaranteed to not be expired!"

Luna grinned. "Yuh-huh! Besides, not like Kendal and I are a thing like how you two are!"

"For our sakes, but mostly for yours. It's been miserable with you upset all the time." Sapphire sighed.

"Luna and I both were home with upset stomachs the following day." Jay laughed. "But yeah! Let's order!" He stepped up the counter.

Cambria giggled. "Yeah.. But still.. You guys would make a cute couple too!"

Kendal held up his hands, and it was clear that if he could blush, he would be. "Cambria!"

"Seriously! The tall, goofy clutz of a droid with the cute, sweet techy girl?! It's almost storybook!" Cambria laughed. "Aww Kendal! I'd bet you'd be blushing right now!"

"I cannot say that I am surprised! That tends to be the result when you do not pay attention as to what you are eating." Zane chuckled softly, stepping up to the counter with Jay. "Greetings! I would like a cinnamon sugar pretzel."

Luna yelped, sitting up straight, covering her face with her hands to hide the blush on her cheeks. "Eep! Cambria noooo!"

"Yeah! No more Sad Dad! Woo!" Sapphire grinned. "What's making you so happy now anyway?"

"Aww and Luna is totally blushing!" Cambria laughed. She yelped as Lainey appeared behind her, picking her up.

Cole shrugged. "To be happy or unhappy is a choice, and I have finally chosen to make the best of our situation and mentally hype myself up to be happy."

"Allow me." Zane said, pulling out the money for both pretzels.
