Do you realize what I just figured out?
When Sherlock Holmes attempts to unlock Irene's phone he uses 1895, John's website counter. In the year of 1895, Sir Author Conan Doyle tried killing Sherlock off at the end of The Memoirs of Sherlock Homes. This proves nothing more than I honestly need to stop watching Sherlock. Now you know.

I've heard that they'll begin to film series three at the beginning of 2013 and air at the end of it.

The filming date has been pushed back to March 2013. It will most likely air at the end of 2013 for England. For America though, early 2014.
