I thought about that happening - it would be great, but I don't think John would say "When?," he'd probably be too shocked to.

Doctor who has 7 seasons.
sherlock has less episodes than doctor who has seasons.

Yeah there are six 90 minute episodes which is basically like 6 movies. I think it was done beautifully, though. They managed so much in a very little amount of time.

Mark Gatiss (who helped create the show and plays Mycroft) hinted with three words.
Pipe. Slippers.Bed.
For the last season they used three words as well. Woman (Irene) Hound (Baskerville) & Fall (Sherlock's 'death'). The 'Pipe' I suppose will be when Sherlock comes back, and the original Sherlock (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock) was seen commonly with a pipe, so I'm getting really excited. Time to use deduction!

Really? Somehow I had heard that the words were Rat, Marriage, Bow, but I really hope your right as Bow would likely mean 'The Final Bow' which is the book in which Sherlock retires. Which, as we all know, would be absolutely terrible. No more Sherlock? The world would end.

I don't think those three words are official.
It was in a tweet. Gatiss was probably just saying that he was about to go to bed.

If there are only nine episodes of Sherlock I might go crazy. Like so full of adrenaline crazy that I rowboat across the Atlantic with Bloodhounds to track down Moffat so I can force him to a) make more episodes NOW! and b) on to stop killing everyone I love!

I doubt they'll stop at 9 episodes, but if they do, don't worry. Moffat and Gatiss have said that after they've stopped making the episodes, they'll bring back Sherlock in quite a few years to come to see how Sherlock and John have changed.
