The solution {When I was typing that, I first typed solluxtion xD} is simple. The lenses may be plastic, but you can over them with clear tape and THEN color them. It worked with some of my other stuff.
It depends on what markers you're using.

If you can, use model magic for the horns. I have not tried it, but that it what the majority of people use and it works great.
