My parents didn't let me play the Sims until I turned 12.
Honestly, I hated it. BUT I understand why.
The games are rated teen for a reason. And while nothing is shown, there is woohoo, alcohol(in the form of 'juice'), bars, clubs, and other pg-13 themes. If you think about it, if the sims was a legit movie, it'd probably be rated R.
So.. xD

oh, I understand that entirely. What I was saying(if I am correct in assuming that was meant towards me) is that the EPs don't make the game that much worse. If your parents let you get the sims, you should be allowed to get expansions.

My YA, insane sim walked around town and went to work in the nude today, and he "flirted" with a teen girl because I didn't realize she was a teen xD. Strangely enough, he didn't have the censor thing in the lower area (I do not have any mods installed) and I thought it was weird that he'd get called out for eating cereal in his neighbor's home than being nude in public.

I bought my new laptop and just got done installing all my sims games on it {base game, pets, supernatural, and generations}. Downloaded everything needed. I get ready to play the game and it tells me I need to put in the Supernatural disk to play. So, I do. Yet whenever I try to start my game, my computer makes this weird nose and then something will pop up saying, "Unable to Start Game. Service Initialization failed."

Can someone try and tell me what this means and how to stop it? .n.

Does it work for any of your other disks? Like, if you were to uninstall supernatural and play from one of the others?

Whenever I try to put in any of the other disks to play the game it says "Disk not found! Please insert your Sims 3 Supernatural Disk" or something like that. Yet when I do, it won't start the game? I'm uninstalling and reinstalling Sims 3 Supernatural again. Hopefully it works, but if it doesn't I'll uninstall it again and then hope that it works? I'm sort of bummed though since I was looking forward to playing the game with all my expansion packs.

To play one off one of the other disks you'd have to uninstall the supernatural disk then try it. That's what I'd do, and hope it was the problem.. Or really hope its just the laptop because then you could take it back...

Did all that and also uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game, still wont work. I have no idea what is wrong, the games worked perfectly fine on my old computer? ono

I don't know much about these kind of things {Chry or Tammanae may be able to help more} but it may just be the lap top then. There's a chance it may not be able to run the Sims, or something may just be wrong :S

Hmm I think I might have solved it, unsure. The games may not be compatible with Windows 8. So we're going to download something in hopes that it will work. c:
