I am amazed at how many deleted scenes there are in LOTR.
Here are some fun facts:

-Aragorn used to be a hobbit called Trotter! XD
-Aragorn's name changes like fifty times during drafting,
-Boromir in a different draft that Tolkien wrote, does not die in TTT. He goes with Aragorn to Minas Tirith instead. After a very sudden battle there, Denethor is killed and Aragorn made the Lord of Gondor, instead of Boromir. Boromir is enraged and sneaks off to Saruman so he could get help in getting revenge on Aragorn.
-In TTT, an alternate scene was that Legolas and Gimli do not go with Boromir and Aragorn to Minas Tirith; they go North instead, planning to leave the Fellowship, but are captured by Saruman.
-As I already said, Tolkien considered killing Pip,
-Sam dies in Mordor,
-Legolas is shot and wounded in Moria,
-Anyone remember the poems that Gandalf delivered to Aragorn and Legolas in TTT? They used to be much different:
To Aragorn:

Elfstone, Elfstone, bearer of my green stone,
In the South under snow a green stone thou shalt see.
Look well, Elfstone! in the shadow of the dark throne
Then the hour is at hand that long hath awaited thee.

For Legolas:
Greenleaf, Greenleaf, bearer of the elven-bow

Dude a lot of you people know each other in real life, at least that's how I understood it. O.o

I have my tickets for the 14th at 10pm! I have my last final that morning so it will be absolutely perfect to celebrate.
I'm going to see it at the museum downtown so it'll be IMAX 3D and only $10. 8D My boyfriend and my two best friends are coming, just not sure where to park. The only other full movie I saw there was Star Trek and I didn't drive.

I actually haven't read the books in a very long time.. I read them when I was about 11 and several more times throughout middle and high school, but not at all since then. And I've only read the Hobbit once! Yeesh.

I told my boyfriend I'm probably going to cry and he just looked at me like "...are you serious?" Hahaha. I meant like a tear, not bawling you silly man.

We went to someone's house for a bbq the other night and I was too busy gawking at the Hobbit trailer on their television to say hello. >_________>'

Wow, that seems so weird I think I prefer Legolas and Gondor to Galdor and Ondor! And Aragorn... a hobbit named Trotter?! That would definitely be very amusing!

I have more online friends than "real" friends, and everyone seems to be way nicer on the internet. You guys are the best! Also, I'm really really really really shy in real life, so I don't make friends easily, but on the internet almost all my shyness goes away

Yeah, I prefer Legolas and Gondor. It was so funny, in the poem "Gondor, Gondor, between the mountains and the sea!" it was "Ondor, Ondor, between the mountains and the sea" instead.

And I agree, online friends seem much nicer, that's why I'm way more open online. I have a very long list of online friends, including you guys!

Online people are friendlier.....I am more opened online then in real life. My little brother said, "Why don't you go outside anymore, sissy?" Because, I will become like Gollum and hiss. And its cold.....and rain....bleh. Cold and snow is good, but that hasn't happened yet.

It's easier to be nicer/more open online. You don't have to look into people's eyes, see their expressions, their disapproval or reluctance or boredom. xD It's easier to fake being supportive or sympathetic or happy for someone, which makes you seem like a nicer friend. It's not necessarily WRONG, just very different in the sense of communication and perception.

And, to get this back on topic:
Does anyone have any reservations or doubts about the upcoming movie?
Anyone mad they won't be able to see it right away?
Any parts of the book they are excited/hopeful to see on the big screen?

It's so weird I live in Chicago and normally it's freezing but today was December 3rd and it was like 65 degrees...I was almost scared. I think Mother Nature is trying to scare us.

I know a couple people but my sister won't post her anymore... curse her.
