Faramir makes me proud to be human... most of the human characters in LotR i found a bit on the unlikeable side.

I like most of the characters of the race of men. Except, of course, Denethor and Wormtongue. I like Boromir. I mean it was only natural that he would be corrupted, he is of the race of men, and our minds are weak. The ring got the better of him, but in the end he apologized, had the right intentions, and died a martyr.

I like Boromir. He did try to save the two little hobbits, so I cant fault him. And he started out noble. "But the hearts of men are easily corrupted and the ring of power has a will of its own."

Same- I kinda like Boromir because he saves the Hobbits, but i HATE Wormtongue! He is creepy- and i dreamed about him one night!

Do you know what I find amusing? When I was 7 and first saw the movie the Ring Wrathes didn't scare me, Gollum didn't scare me, The Urkiah didn't scare me, but the regular Orcs did.

you were brave!

the first time i saw the movie was over the summer. i wasn't scared by Gollum, the cave troll, the ringwraiths, the orcs or the uruk-hai, but the spectres in the Dead Marshes and in the place of spectral beings Aragorn goes, and (oddly) the Lothlorien elves creeped me out!

i thought Haldir (sp?), with his hypnotic voice and cat-like movements was rather creepy...

For some reason he didn't scare me. I kind of expected him to act like that. XD.
