thank you, hopefully I will. my mom is not one for the outdoors, neither is my sister, but me and my other sister inherited our adventurous personalities from my dad. So I will most likely enjoy myself. I still want to go to New Zealand though! D:

My sister is in third grade. When I was her age, I had an "adventure bag" that I would carry with me everywhere. She carries an "outing bag", with makeup, miniature dolls, a notebook, and other stuff like that. She likes fancy hotels, I like camping in the woods. we are so different its almost as though we aren't related. we get along fine though. I've only managed to get my mom to watch LotR a couple times but each time all she paid attention to was Aragorn and Arwen. it was rather irritating.

That does sound REALLY annoying. Thank God that my sisters hide when they see makeup and enjoy fishing. I have two younger sisters, and the one that is younger than me, but older than the littlest one is kind of mainstream.. OH NOES

My cousin is like that. She has seen Monte Carlo so many times she can quote most of the movie. MY other cousin was thrilled when she saw the Chronicles of Narnia and Tron: Legacy, both of which my family introduced to her.

She is a bit too young. If I could, she would have seen all the movies about 5 times.

Same with me and all my friends. All they talk about is shopping, new clothes and makeup, and I like horse riding, going to the forests and reading. I only have one friend that doesn't like that stuff, and she's the only person that isn't obsessed with "normal" things, but she still isn't as weird as me :( . My cousin sometimes tries to put makeup from me and I'm like: " No! Get that stuff away from my face! I have to flee.....
My brother loves cars and sports, and thinks that swords and bows are rubbish, because guns are more useful. I don't see the point! I don't like swords and bows because they kill people, its... their like... different. With a gun you just press a button and it fires, but bows are kind of magical, you actually need to know how to do it properly, and it takes years of practice to get it right.... maybe its just because their in LotR, but I'm fascinated in learning how to do archery (not to kill anything of course, just for fun.)

same here. I see the world differently than everybody else I know. I long ago gave up on trying to explain how I see things to people, because no one ever understands.
