What is Petz? where do you get it?

Hello, i was wondering if you have to pay to get Petz, if you buy it someweares or if it is online, could you please help me?

Its a game series, I have only seen Dogz 2 in stores, I don't know much, but are associated with other companies like The Dog, thus led to Dog Island on the Wii.

You may be able to get a free working version if you look up various sites and grab various required files. Otherwise you may be lucky to find it in a store. I got dogz 3 and Dogz/Catz 5 from a best buy at the time they were sold. Dogz 4 I borrowed a CD from a neighbor, then later installed it from a CD that was included with something. I never had catz 3 or 4, but could run them if I had the catzres.dll in the resource folder.

If you can only find the catz version of the game, all you need is the dogzres.dll to run dogz. If you want the catz and dogz sound, then you need a separate dll for the sound. Without those files, the pets will still bark or meow as long as each breedfile has its internal sounds, but will become silent at times.

Carolyn Horn's site would be the best place to get started. Odd Petz also has misc files. Basically you'd need the demo program, then a hack that makes it into a full version, then look for the needed dll files and the breedz. There should be directions on the sites for how to get started.

Or you may be able to find a version sold on Amazon or ebay.
