what is your favorite game/game series?

chibi robo, had the game as a kid it very much left an impression on me. series wise as much as i do also like park patrol its the mario franchise by a country mile. probably my second biggest special interest but i count furbys as the biggest because its my longest continuous one, but that's off topic. i have a lot of favorites its hard to pick, for all time favorite game its sunshine, for favorite and most enjoyable i've played its odyssey, favorite side game is mario party 4, and favorite weirdest game is luigi's mansion which also very strongly shaped what aesthetics i enjoy in games.

I can't pick between the jet set radio series (jet set radio + jet set radio future) or Conker's Bad Fur Day. Both of them hold a lot of nostalgic value to me, as I've played em all when I was a kid!

Skyrim is always a game I come back to after a while, ever since I watched my brother playing it around when it came out I was HOOKED!! The graphics, the story, the characters - it gets alot of hate and I get it but it holds such a special place in my heart because of the nostalgia, the beauty, and honestly the character writing is pretty inspirational for me (specifically Cicero's story). And of course Oblivion lol, but it doesn't really hold a nostalgia factor like Skyrim does as I only got into oblivion last year (such an excellent game though). Night in the Woods is another HUGE fav, the colors, scenery and overall game itself brings me back to the city I used to live near and it brings me alot of happy, warm memories <3 (the soundtrack too, I'd listen to it on loop years ago!)
Postal 2 aswell of course, but also I'm considering getting into Resident Evil because in Dead by Daylight they have an Albert Wesker character you can play as and his design is just pure coolness to me lol, same with Leon Kennedy their designs always intrigued me

Grim Fandango is my favorite game! The style is stunning, the writing is very witty and fun, it's really a one-of-a-kind experience! I highly recommend checking out Peter Chan's beautiful concept artwork for the game!

in all seriousness though.. my favourite video game series is baldur's gate. lol. even outside of the third games massive popularity, i loooove the characters of the first two games and the writing is just overall fantastic. i have such a soft spot for the forgotten realms as a setting and i specifically love the storyline for the player character of the first two games + the dark urge storyline of the third. franchise is a must play for ANYONE into dnd tbh
