If you enjoyed VIXX's emo phase you'll definitely love dreamcatcher. They also have some slower songs like "polaris" and "red sun" and all the MVs tell a story.
Some other suggestions (I'm sure you know groups like twice and blackpink so I'll recommend some less known groups):
Mamamoo - mature and elegant, they are by far the best vocalists in kpop (in my opinion). They are the best live singers I know and can easily sing 100% live while dancing. Their songs are always amazing and the dances tend to be easier to follow. They're also really entertaining and it's easy to connect with them because they're VERY natural and silly. They literally made a song mocking eachother's heights despite being just 1cm apart and a song made of dad jokes. Also all the members are also soloists and release amazing songs frequently. The most recent one was Whee In's water color.
Weeekly - bubbly and cute, they're extremely talented and sing live really well. You can usually hear their vocals on every performance which is one of the main things that made me fall in love with them.
Soloists:
Hong Jinyoung - my favorite trot singer. Her songs always get me in a silly dancing mood. They're not too serious or too deep, but hey, they're really fun. She also has some ballads like "love is..." which I think you might like
Sorn (from CLC) - she just released her first single called "Run". I'm 100% sure you'll enjoy it, I haven't found a single person who didn't like it so far. It's fun, easy to sing along, catchy, has lovely lyrics and makes you feel like you can do anything you want.
Somi - Her songs are really good, not too deep but always fun. It's also really easy to sing and dance along to her songs.
Baek A Yeon - Mostly ballads. I don't know much about her and don't listen to her songs too often, but I think they might be exactly what you like! The songs are really good, I'm just not too much into ballads most of the time.
