Heart Gold Nuzlocke

So I head to the underground. Oh, a Kimono girl. She said I could face the legendary Pokemon. What a joke. I'm not allowed to have that. I insert the basement key to unlock the door, and go down the to basement. I let Sandor out front. Oh, Cheddar arrives to ruin my plans again.

"Hold it! What I told you before was to deceive you. I thought it would let me tail you, and it would lead me to Lance." I've only met Lance once dude, that's a stupid plan. "Well, he never showed up. No matter. I was planning to beat you after Lance, but since you are here, I will repay my debts!" I've killed your whole team before. You've been cheating this Nuzlocke the entire game.

He leads Golbat. We Discharge for an OH-KO. Sneasel is out next, we go to Pinecone. We Sucker Punch, it does almost nothing. the one time Pinecone successfully uses it, and we should've used Headbutt. Sneasel Faint Attacks, we Headbutt for the KO. Magnemite. I go Clyve. Petal Dance time. He lives and Thunder Waves. then goes for the Supersonic, but misses. Petal Dance takes it out. Oh, he still has Quilava. Evolve your Pokemon, dude. We go Bertram. We Surf, it's another OH-KO. Last Pokemon is a Haunter. I go Orana. "Hey, hey! Why so serious?" We Bite, another OH-KO.

"Why... Why do I lose? I've assembled the toughest Pokemon. I didn't ease up on the gas. So why do I lose? I don't understand. Is what that Lance guy said true? That I don't treat Pokemon properly? Love... Trust... Are they really what I lack? Are they keeping me from winning? I... I just don't understand. But it's not going to end here. Not now. Not because of this. I won't give up my dream of becoming the world's best Pokemon Trainer!" Cheddar, you stole your starter. Your Golbat hasn't even evolved yet. Rethink what you've done to get here, and maybe you can better yourself. Keep obsessing over only power, and you won't get anywhere but in circles. Oh well, he left.

Time to beat Team Rocket!

So a few grunts later, we head through a door. Battle more grunts. Pick up TM82 Sleep Talk. And talk to the director. He gave me the card key. Oh, the Amulet Coin. I give that to Bertram. We exit through the department store, picking up all the berries my mom bought for me. Healed up, then headed back to the radio tower. Third floor, insert the card key. One more grunt. Oh, Proton.

I didn't except a executive battle so soon. So I have Clyve out front. He leads Golbat. i switch to Sandor, he Wing Attacks. Now to Discharge, an OH-KO. Next is Weezing. I go Bertram. We Barrier, he Double-Hits. Now Surf, he uses Sludge. Surf again. No Selfdestruct this time.

Second executive, this time Ariana. I have Bertram in the front now. She leads Arbok. I switch to Orana. She uses Glare. That's annoying. She uses Crunch, and Orana can't move. That turn just repeats twice. Orana is down to 39HP and finally gets one hit in, does 1/4th of her HP. I go Rasmus. Arbok is just Crunching. She does get the defense drop, but that doesn't matter for Rasmus. We Faint Attack for the KO. Next is Murkrow. I go Sandor, and we Discharge, OH-KO. Now for Vileplume. Orana would be my choice, but she's paralyzed with 39HP. So I go Pinecone. We Headbutt, knocking her to little under half HP. She Sleep Powders. Pinecone is asleep for three turns. She get's a crit Mega Drain, knocking my Raticate to 24HP. When all else fails, go Rasmus to wall. We Confuse Ray, she hurts herself in confusion. Now to Faint Attack. She Mega Drains, another Faint Attack gets the KO.

My team is in a rough spot. I go back to heal then return. We go up the elevator. We find Archer. "Oh? You managed to get this far? You must be quite the Trainer. We intent to take over this Radio Tower and officially announce our comeback.That should bring our boss Giovanni back from his solitary training. We are going to regain our former glory. I will not allow you to interfere with our meticulous plans!"

I've got Bertram out front. He leads Houndour. We Surf for the OH-KO. Next is Houndoom. Another Surf, almost out. He Faint Attacks. We Surf again, get the KO. Koffing. We Barrier. He Tackles, so we Barrier again, he Sludges. Bertram is at 55HP. So I do heal him with a Super Potion. Ahh, Koffing used Haze. We go Surf. Hopefully he doesn't Selfdestruct. He's knocked to red, we Surf for the KO.

Archer leaves and the director comes in to thank me. We get the Rainbow Wing.

So I have 11 Oran berries. Time to help a sick Miltank on Route 39. Oh, I needed 7, not 10. That's fine. I then buy two dozen Moomoo Milks. We fly to Mahogany Town. Now the guy selling RageCandyBars will let me pass to Route 44. Two trainers in, my team is now at Lv.38. Bertram is Lv.39, but that's alright. I was scared of Selfdestruct Koffing/Weezing. A Megnemite barely lives a Petal Dance, it Thunder Waves, then Supersonics Clyve. And Clyve hits himself twice before attacking again for the KO. My encounter is Poliwag, Lv.30. I name her Rosei.

We enter Ice Path. My encounter is a Swinub, Lv.21. Named her Riddle. We pick up HM07 Waterfall. I teach Pinecone Strength over Sucker Punch. So I can do the puzzles. We skip the NeverMeltIce, because I don't want to teach Rock Smash. Found TM72 Avalanche. I find another Kimono girl, she's a little stuck on ice. So I give her an helpful push, and she thanks me, then leaves. We make it to Blackthorn City.

First things first. We head to the Gym. First trainer has Dratini that uses Dragon Rush. So this Gym should be fun. So I beat the trainers, my team level is 38-39. So time to grind a little. I don't teach Pinecone Double-Edge. I teach Cylve Light Screen over Reflect. I though Orana Poison Fang over Mean Look.

Alright, Gym time! I lead Sandor. "I am Clair. The world's best Dragon-type master. I can hold my own against even the Pokemon League's Elite Four. Do you still want to take me on? Fine. Let's do this! As a Gym Leader, I will use my full power against any opponent!"

Good, she lead Gyarados. She goes Dragon Rage, we Discharge for the OH-KO. Next is a Dragonair, I go Bertram. We set up Toxic Spikes. Dragonair Thunder Waves. Dragonair uses Slam, misses. We set another layer of Toxic Spikes. Another Slam misses, Bertram couldn't move due to paralyze. Slam its, as does Poison Jab. We get the poison, but Shed Skin heals it. Slam misses, we Surf. Slam hits, we Poison Jab for the KO. Another Dragonair. Bertram is at 55HP, and paralyzed. So I switch to Pinecone. Dragonair is poisoned Hopefully that stays for a little bit. We Strength, Dragonair Thunder Waves. Damn, Shed Skin cured poison. Clair Hyper Potions, we Strength again. Its an high roll, a OH-KO. Now for Kingdra. This is why we set up Toxic Spikes. I go Clyve. Kingdra is badly poisoned.

"One Pokemon left? This is where the real battle begins!" She uses Dragon Pulse. We Light Screen. Another Dragon Pulse, Clyve Leech Seeds. Now for the dangerous part. We go Petal Dance. Kingdra had a Sitrus berry. "You're kidding, right? I'm suppose to win. I already decided!" Kingdra goes for Hyper Beam, it misses! Petal Dance for the KO. "I lost? I don't believe it. There must be some mistake. I won't concede this. I might have lost, but you're still not ready for the Pokemon League. I know. You should take the Dragon-master challenge."

So I'm going to the Dragon's Den, and I have to take a test before she will give me a badge. What a sore loser. I chose this team just for that winning strat. I don't know who's worse, Clair or Cheddar.

So Whirlpool is a bit of an issue. I don't want that move on my team. So I switch Clyve and Sandor out. I add Zaneb the Tauros to the team, and teach him Whirlpool. Now we head to the Dragon Den. Oh my, Orana just scared me. The first Dragonair of this den had Thunder. I went Fly, not knowing. Orana just tanked he Thunder. that would've been a really sad loss. Hey a Dratini, Lv.12. That's not Dupes. It took a few trys, but Super Fang'd it twice helped. Named him Dr. Free. I passed the test at the shrine. Clair walked in an assumed I failed. I received the Rising Badge from Clair. I picked up the Dragon Fang. I try to leave the Den. Clair stops me and gives me TM59 Dragon Pulse an apology. Elm calls, and says he has something for me at his lab. I deposit Dr. Free into the PC. Now back to Dragon's Den for an Extremespeed Dratini. I named her Cloudcover. Wow, both my Dratini's are Quirky.

I'm really tempted to switch someone out of the team for a Dratini. But I'll just continue the game instead. Route 45 encounter is Gligar, Lv.24. I named him Painted. The full name was Painted Wings, which I really liked for Gligar, but that won't fit. Ohh, there were Phanpy in this grass. Darn. Route 46 encounter was Geodude, Lv.2. Named her Minimax. I found Raikou. Rasmus Faint Attacked it, before it ran away. I go to Elm's Lab, he gave me a Masterball. I head to Mr. Pokemon's house to get the EXP Share. I the fly to Ecruteak City. Okay, time for the Kimono Girls fight.

I'm leading Rasmus. He's the bulkiest on the team. Oh, Cheddar. How surprising, he lost. The first battle is Umbreon VS Umbreon. It lands Confuse Ray, we Faint Attack. It does nothing. I switch to Pinecone. She Dark Pulses. We Super Fang, she Confuse Rays. Pinecone lands the Strength, knocking it to a sliver of HP. Pinecone snaps out of confusion, and Headbutts for the KO.
Next is Espeon. She uses Swift, we Faint Attack, then Quick Attack. It lives on 1HP, and uses Swift. We Quick Attack for the KO.
Now for Flareon. We go Confuse Ray. She uses Will-O-Wisp. That's a little annoying. I switch to Bertram. Flareon hit's itself. We Surf for the KO.
Okay, Jolteon. I don't have much for electric types. I heal the Burn off Rasmus. Jolteon uses Double Team. Well good thing we have Faint Attack. Jolteon Thunderbolts, twice before being KO'd.
So that means Vaporeon is last. Rasmus is at 38HP. I switch to Sandor. Vaporeon Surfs twice. Sandor is at 38HP. I switch to Cylve. If Vaporeon uses an Ice Type move, they're cheating. Vaporeon used Surf. We Petal Dance for the KO.

I was given the Clear Bell. A kid ran in and told the Kimono Girls a shadow of a large Pokemon appeared in the tower. They all left. I guess I'll heal then follow them.

My mom bought me a Muscle Band, I gave that to Rasmus. Now to the Bell Tower. I didn't get here early enough in the night, so I don't get an encounter here. It would've been Gastly Well. I made it to the top. There stood the Kimono Girls. I switch for Sandor to be out front. The rules say I am not allowed to catch Ho-Oh, but must fight him. So here we go.

We start with Thunder Wave. Ho-Oh used Extrasensory. We Discharge, it can't move. Another Discharge, it uses Fire Blast, knocking Sandor to 3HP. I switch to Bertram. Ho-Oh used Sunny Day. We go Poison Jab for the KO. Sandor wants to learn Signal Beam, I teach that over Cotton Spore. I escape rope out of there. That was actually scary, I thought someone was going to die for sure. I though Ho-Oh had Roost or Recover. But it didn't use either of those moves, so that was nice.

I fly to New Bark Town and Surf east. Route 27. I am now officially in Kanto. My encounter is an Exeggcute, Lv.31. We named her Rose Petal. Tohjo Falls. Right, we need Waterfall. Only Bertram can learn it, so I replace Barrier. My encounter is a Goldeen, Lv.20. Named her Trigger. I found a Moon Stone. As soon as I exit the cave a trainer challenges me to battle. I'm so jelly of her full Bulbasuar line team. I want a Ivysaur. I went into a house hoping for healing, the woman gave me TM37 Sandstorm. I beat a Black 2 Nuzlocke with a Sandstorm biased team. It was a fun Nuzlocke. Hey, my team is now all Lv.42.

Route 26. My encounter is Doduo, Lv.30. Named her Deleau. Ohh, thank you. I found the heal house. Sandor lived at 30HP from a Blastiose. That was scary. I feel like at this rate Sandor is the next to die. I go back to heal, then battle the rest of the trainers.

Victory Road. My encounter is a Donphan, Lv.33! I named her Instanbul. Oh, my box 1 is full, so she was put into box 2. That's cool. Uhh, I found two Max Revives. I guess I could sell those. Found TM26 Earthquake. Almost ran out of Repel, but I made it to the end. And there is Cheddar. He beat all the trainers on Victory Road. Now he plans to defeat me.

I'm leading Bertram. He starts with Sneasel. We Toxic Spikes, he Faint Attacks. We set another layer of Toxic Spikes. He Faint Attacks. We switch to Rasmus Faint Attack does nothing. He Quick Attacks, we Faint Attack. He Quick Attacks again, we Confuse Ray. Another Quick Attack, we Faint Attack. Sneasel snaps out of confusion and Quick Attacks. Another Faint Attack for the KO.
Next is Magneton. I go Clyve. We Leech Seed, he Thunder Waves. That could be used to my advantage. We go Petal Dance. He misses Supersonic. Cheddar withdrew Magneton and switch in Typhlosion. I'm now worried for Clyve, he's stuck in Petal Dance. Typhlosion used Lava Plume. Clyve is below half on 57HP. He gets a cirt, and with poison damage Typhlosion is left to a sliver of HP. Clyve is out of Petal Dance and I switch to Rasmus. He uses Lava Plume and poison takes him out.
Now for Golbat. I go Sandor. We get Quick Claw and Discharge for an OH-KO. Next is Haunter. I go Pinecone. We go Crunch, get thew OH-KO. Kadabra is next. I stay in with Pinecone. We Crunch again, another OH-KO. Last is his Magneton. I go Sandor. We Discharge, get the KO.

"I couldn't win. What you posses and what I lack. I'm beginning to understand what that Dragon tamer said to me. I haven't given up on become the greatest Trainer. I'm going to find out why I can't win and become stronger. When I do, I will challenge you. I'll beat you down with all my power. Hump! You keep at it until then."

That was scary for Clyve's life. I'm never going to let him beat me. That would mean i lose this Nuzlocke. I'm at the Indigo Plateau. The E4, the Champion. But first I need to chose my final team, and get to level 50, So it'll be a little bit before I post again. I'm really thinking Dragonite for the team.

Alright. Trained my team to Lv.50. Collected some TM's I missed, and also traded some TM's over from my Platinum game to use. Which is why Clyve and Rasmus both have Toxic. I hope we live the E4 and Champion battles.
