Goldenrod City. Where to start. First a heal my Pokemon, that's a given. Next the Department Store, picked up what my mother bought for me. Berries, thanks. The Radio Tower to take a quiz and get Whitney back into her gym. Talked to Mr. Game to get a coin case, now some TM's and Held Items are available to me if needed. Talked to the bike shop owner to get a free bike. Then the underground, to do some battling. I also got Septimus a haircut. I know he doesn't have hair, but it liked it regardless.
Finally, to the gym to battle the trainers. Lullaby learned Reflect. I guess I didn't need to waste time learning Headbutt. Oh well. I also, sadly, gave up the move Metronome. I love that move, it's so fun, but risky in a Locke. Septimus learned Encore.

Okay. Now I'm going to do some back tracking, grinding, walking, then more grinding. I'll be back. Not sure if the team will change any.

I trained Puri up to Lv.22, with the help of Lullaby. They both pasted the level limit, but that's alright, they won't be battling in the next gym. Once Puri reached Lv.22 I taught him Leech Seed, and let him finally evolve. Next. I put Puri and Lullaby in the day-care. While waiting I trained Skii up a little in Ilex Forest.
Ah! An egg, finally. It was $400 to get Puri and Lullaby back, but that's wroth it. Sadly, this does mean I say good-bye to Lullaby. I rode my bike until the egg hatched. Named him Clyve. Awe, he's Sassy, just like his mother. His Lv.1 attacks are Growl, Leech Seed, Bullet Seed, and PoionPowder. All but Growl, he gained from Puri.

I took the Miracle Seed from Lullaby and said my good-byes. She didn't do much but take on rock types in Union Cave. But I still liked her. With the help of Puri I trained Clyve and Skii up to Lv.19. Oh, Clyve's first battle on his own was against a lv.10 Drowze. He got a crit Razor Leaf. Just wanted to note that. His first ever attack was a crit.

Now to decide my team and have them all reach level 19.

Okay. So that all took a while, and after all that training for Skii, I kept Rocky on the team. Though he won't have as good of an attack stat, he'll take hits better. That's what we need when those Rollouts start coming. The rest of the team also stayed the same.
So Clyve the Bayleef, Septimus the Togepi, Orana the Zubat, Pinecone the Rattata, Sandor the Flaffy, and Rocky the Onix.

Time to battle Whitney,

Okay so I had text speed on fast, which caused me to miss some of Bugsy's dialogue. So I put text speed back to mid. Hopefully I'll catch Whitney's dialogue. It's battle time!

"Hi! I'm Whitney! You! I saw you at the radio tower just now. Everyone was into Pokemon, so I got into it, too. Pokemon are super cute! You want to battle? I'm warning you-- I'm good!"
I start off with Sandor, she leads Clefairy. I go Thunder Wave. Double-slap does almost nothing to Sandor. Now it's using Metronome, Magical Leaf. We'll just Thundershock away. I got her to red, and she healed. Good, now Miltank won't have an item. I switch for Pincone, and Clefairy is fully paralyzed. Just Headbutt away. Clefairy is down. I send in Clyve against her Miltank. "H-hey! Just one left? But.. I ain't losin', you hear?" Sure thing Whitney.

Leech Seed. She Stomps. Miltank uses Attract. I attempt to PoisonPowder, but Clyve is immobilized by love. I try again to poison. Miltank out speeds, stomps, and gets a crit, flinch on Clyve. His first gym battle isn't going too well. I'll try Reflect this time. He got through attract. After he gets through a stomp and lands PoisonPowder."Poor me!" Yeah Whitney, I know. I breed a beast stall wall. Now to try Razor Leaf. Clyve flinched, then immobilized. Damn, Whitney had another super potion. Okay. We get another Reflect up. I switch to Rocky. Too busy typing what's happening, that I just noticed that Miltank wasn't poisoned anymore. Right, Lum berry. Back to Clyve. Try and get that poison back. It immediately Attracts, but Clyve gets through the attract and gets the poison. Miltank is in red again, so I just go for Razor Leaf. We flinch and our reflect wore off, but the leech seed and poison takes her out.

"Ugh.. Waaaaaah! Waaaaaah! ...Snivel, hic. You meanie!" I walked away "Oh, no. You made Whitney cry. It's Ok. She'll stop soon. She always cries when she loses."
She shouldn't be a Gym Leader then. I go back to Whitney.
"Sniff. What? What do you want? A Badge? Oh, right. I forgot. Here's the Plain Badge."
I got the Plain Badge and TM45, Attract. I'll probably end up using this TM, maybe against Red, as I think his entire team is male.

Once I leave the gym, my mom calls. Bought an item, thanks. I go to get the watering can for an odd tree. Route 35. Crap, I forgot to heal, and now I'm in a battle. Lv.15 Vulpix. I send out Rocky. Vulpix did a whole 3 damage. I gotta go heal, I'll be back.
Okay, Route 35. I let Pinecone in the front of the party for the first few trainer battles. I tried to Sucker Punch a Diglett twice, it Sand-Attacked both times. Pinecone still hit is Headbutt and OH-KO'd it. Good-boy, Pinecone. After that I have a Zubat off. Orana won, obliviously. Yes! Pinecone grew to Lv.20. My boy is evolving! I replace Quick Attack with Scary Face. Might come in handy. Sandor's turn. Poor Sandor. Get's Sonicboom'd twice, paralysed, next battle immediately poisoned. But he does get his level, and I teach Cotton Spore over Growl. A Magmar Leer'd Septimus twice, then.. Ember. Okay. I manage to get to the last trainer without an encounter. Orana takes out the bug catcher.

My encounter is Nidoran-F, Lv.12. I named her Oakstar. Oh, there is one more trainer at the end of this grass. He wants to know what kind of PokeBalls I use. I like Luxury, Friend, Dusk, and Quick balls. He has a Pidgeotto. I switch to Sandor. Ha! Static'd. Okay, now the trainers are done. I pick up TM66 Payback.

National Park. I get the Quick Claw, and give it to Sandor. My encounter is, no, not a Caterpie. I already caught one of those. Now a battle. Okay. One Snubull out of the way. I keep encountering Caterpie and Metapod. I'll just go headbutt a tree. A Pineco. I already have a Pinecone, but okay, I'll try to catch her. She Selfdestruct'd, and knocked Sandor down to low yellow HP. I will just toss a ball next time I encounter one of those. I pick up Soothe Bell, and that goes right onto Septimus. Also found TM28 Dig.

Route 36. Encounter is a Growlithe! Alright. Level 13. He tried to Roar, and I'm so glad it fails in this gen. I tossed a Great ball and named him Rue. Orana grew to Lv.20. Last Lv.19 is Septimus. Odd tree time. Static encounter Sudowoodo. Rocky and Sudowoodo throw rocks at each other, chipping their HP's down. One Rock Throw left will put Sudowoodo in the red, then I'll start throwing PokeBalls. He Low Kicked. Rocky was yellow, now he is dead. My wall has fallen. I switch to Clyve. I Reflect., then PoisonPowder. Now I'm on a time limit. I toss a Great Ball, and he's caught. Named him Cutsicle. Oh, Rocky. I don't even know if this was worth it.

I go east to Violet City. Cutsicle is Modest. That wasn't worth Rocky's life at all. I don't know who to add to the team. Rue is Timid, which is okay. But Bite would be useful against the up coming Ghost types, and his Attack stat is hindered. Oakstar is Brave, but she has Rivalry. Not good as Morty uses males. Flavius and Rivet are Psychic type.
I'll just have to think on this.I might end up training Skii to the level limit again, and see what moves he learns. For now I'll finish up Route 36.

I pick up the item my mom bought for me, a repel. Then I get some Great Balls. Oh, they're now selling Revives. yeah, laugh in my face about it. I go back to Route 36 and pick up a Hyper Potion.

Route 37. My encounter is a Stantler, Lv.15. Named him Zanzibar. He's Naive nature. Two double battles to go on this route. Clyve had the first one handled by himself, as Septimus was still asleep from Zanzibar. Next, oh. It's the two Clefable, Wigglytuff combo trainers. They growl, and disable Clyve. Now I can't Razor Leaf. Sandor KO's the first Wigglytuff, while Clyve Leech Seeds the Clefable. Next Clefable comes out, Clyve Leech Seed that, as Sandor KO's the first Clefable. Clyve was Encored. Okay, he knew who to Leech Seed. Sandor just keeps Thundershocking. I switch Clyve for Septimus, who is still asleep, but oh well. They Encore Sandor. That is fine with me. Leech Seed takes the last Wigglytuff down.
Ecruteak City. I go to the PokeCenter. Talk to Bill, heal my team, and deposit Zanzibar.

So I did a few things on my night off from work. First I when back to Goldenrod. I received my Eevee from Bill. Named him Rasmus. Ugh, he's Careful nature. I was wanting a Vaporeon. But this nature leaves me with the choice of Flareon or Umbreon.

I did a lot of bike riding. So much the Bike Shop owner called, and said I could keep my bike. Septimus evolved. I am so hyped! He kept his Serene Grace ability! So many Togepi's have lost that ability on evolution for me.
I evolved Rasmus, into Umbreon. That took so much bike riding. But now I have two walls again. I used Cutsicle to switch train him. Because I'm never going to use Cutsicle on the team, so I don't care what level he reaches. As I trained Rasmus, I had Orana on my team with the Soothe Bell. She has high friendship now, so when she evolves, she can soon after evolve into Crobat.

I took a break after all that walking and grinding. Now back in Ecruteak City.

I go to the Burned Tower. The legendary beasts are below. Just a note, if I encounter them on any route, I am not allowed to try and catch them, even if it's my first encounter.
Eusine talks to me about his obsession with Suicune. Then there is Cheddar. I have Orana at the lead of the party, as she if my lowest level.
"Oh, it's you. You must be here to catch the legendary Pokemon to make yourself look strong. That is only a dream. You see, the legendary Pokemon suits a Trainers like me who has sworn to become the strongest Trainer. A battle with Team Rocket Grunts is just right for you!"
He leads Gastly. He goes Confuse Ray. Orana breaks through and Bites, nearly a OH-KO. Gastly KO's himself with Curse. Orana gets her level up to Lv.21, and wants to learn Confuse Ray herself. Good-bye Supersonic.
Cheddar has a Magnemite. I don't really have any good answers for that. I go Clyve. We Razor Leaf, doing maybe 1/5th of its HP. It misses it's Supersonic. We Leech Seed this turn. It gets the confusion up. I switch to Sandor. He Sonicbooms. We Thundershock, he Supersponics. Leech Seed brought him down to low yellow. Thundershock hits, and KO's him. Clyve grew a level and wants to learn Magical Leaf, I teach it over Razor Leaf.
Next is his Quilava. I go Pinecone, and Headbutt. He uses Smokescreen. Pinecone hits the next Headbutt anyway, gets the KO. Now time for a Zubat off.
"Out of desperation, weak people sometimes do OK at fighting back."
Orana is one level higher than his Zubat. We go both go Wing Attack. Orana is knocked a little past half HP. We go for Bite to try and Flinch. Didn't Flinch, but he missed Supersonic. We Wing Attack to finish the battle.
"Hump! I'm not fighting with another weakling ever again. It's just too much playing around." You're only salty because my Zubat is better than yours. "Aw, whatever. You would never be able to catch a legendary Pokemon anyway." That's the rules Cheddar. He shoved me and left.
My encounter is a Koffing, Lv.16. Named her Void. We battled fire-breather. A little insensitive to the fact this tower burned down and killed three Pokemon in the processes. Oh, another fire-breather. His Charmeleon has Dragon Rage, and almost killed Orana. She's at 3 HP. She knocked him to the red with Wing Attack though. I go Rasmus, he has 78HP and Quick Attack. Okay. Problem solved. It would be just like me to praise one of my Pokemon, and then her die immediately after.
We go downstairs to interact with the beasts. They run around a little, then leave. Eusine came down too. He's been chasing Suicune for almost 10 years! Now he's saying he should be aggressive towards Suicune. Leave Suicune alone dude. I cant do anything here, so I leave Burned Tower and go heal.
We headbutt trees 11 times. Ecruteak City encounter is Hoothoot, Lv.14. Named him Shire.

Okay, so I'd battle the Kimono Girls, but they are level 38. So Gym time. I lead Orana to try and get that Golbat. First trainer has 5 v.16 Gastly, which Orana OH-KO's. She gets her level and evolution. Sandor is next level up. After I beat all of the trainers, I, of course, leave to go train to Lv.25. More grinding. Though not as bad as a Lv.5 to Lv.20.
Orana evolved into Crobat. Sandor had a close call with a Stantler. Clyve had some difficulty, as he kept battling Pidgey, Growlithe, and a Pidgeotto. Luckily he just tanks hits. Pinecone must've KO'd all the Stantler in the route. He also learned Crunch. Morty time!

"It's good of you to have come. Here in Ecruteak, Pokemon have long been revered. It's said that a rainbow-hued Pokemon will come down to appear before a truly powerful Trainer. I believed that tale, so I have secretly trained here all my life. As a result, I can now see that others cannot.I see a shadow of the person who will make the Pokemon appear. I believe that person is me! You're going to help me reach that level!"

I lead Pinecone, him Gastly. Pinecone get's an OH-KO. Next is Haunter, we stay in. Another OH-KO. Good-boy Pinecone! His Gengar is next. We go Clyve. He has Hypnosis and Mean Look.He goes for Hypnosis, but missed. We Leech Seed, it lands. Now we switch to Rasmus. He Mean Looks. That's fine. He goes Shadow Ball, we Pursuit. He heals with Sitrus berry. Shadow Ball. Pursuit takes him out. His last Haunter. This one knows Curse and Nightshade. I go Orana.
"No, it's not over yet--not yet!I still believe we can do it!"
We go for Bite. It's not quite an OH-KO. Haunter is left with a sliver of HP. "We've got more discipline than anyone else!" He uses a Hyper Potion, We go for Astonish, then we Bite for the KO. "How is this possible... I don't think our potentials are so different. But you seem to have something more than that... So be it. This Badge is yours." I received the Fog Badge, as well as TM30 Shadow Ball.

So I looked it up. No, I do not fight the Kimono Girls just yet. I do need HM03 Surf. So let's go fight an annoying Team Rocket Grunt at the Dance Theater. Pinecone handles him with ease. I get Surf.

Route 38. My encounter is Farfetch'd, Lv.16. It took a few Great Balls, but I did manage to catch him. Named him Tardis. Clyve was paralyzed by a Flaffy, then Magical Leaf was Disabled by a Psyduck. So that battle took a while. Rasmus almost OH-KO's a Hoppip. It Poisons him, then thanks to Synchronize, Hoppip KO's from Poison. I've only fought two trainers, but already had to use two different Status healing items after battle. I go back to Ecruteak to buy some items.

Route 39. Met Baoba. I forgot I needed Oran berries for a sick Miltank. So I planted my three in the Berry Pots. I'll try to keep an eye on those. Found TM60 Drain Punch. My mom called twice. My encounter is Tauros, Lv.15. It felt the need to Scary Face my Paralyzed Umbreon. Yeah, I'm not going to attack first anyway, but okay. He Scary Faced Rasmus three times! It took three Great Balls, but I caught him. Named him Zaneb.
