What's Your Favorite Anime?

Naming a favorite is difficult because I hardly ever finish, but I've got a few I can say I like.

FMA:B always seems like a safe choice. I'm almost finished.

I enjoyed Sgt. Frog quite a bit, but ended up dropping it at around 150 episodes. Good for people who like absurdist sci-fi comedy.

I LOVED Princess Jellyfish and Ouran, the latter of the two leading to a bit of egg cracking.

Lately I seem to be steering towards horror and thriller anime, usually with a mix of supernatural elements. I just started watching the 2006 Higurashi since I heard it just got a remake. If violence doesn't scratch your brain, I don't recommend it.

What do you think of Higurashi so far? I watched it after finishing the question arcs in the VN, and the anime felt a little underwhelming. Unfortunately, they skipped a lot of content from the VN, especially concerning the first parts of the anime.

hxh and fairy tail are very high up there, i remember loving bungo stray dogs but i've forgotten the plot might rewatch it

Fairy Tail was so good! I wish I didn't finish it so quick.

Have you seen Gungrave? They apparently included some references to Trigun in it. I wouldn't really know since I haven't seen Trigun, but Gungrave is a good show on its own. Just make sure to skip the first episode.

I started watching it a bit ago, so I already saw the first ep unfortunately. But I imagine there would be Trigun references since they’re both by Nightow!

So far I'm kinda up and down about how I feel about it. Most of the violence feels like it's done for shock value, but every so often it strikes a certain kind of morbidity that I can appreciate. Maybe I'm desensitized? I will say I like the whole "Groundhog Day" aspect of it. I'll have to get the VN after I finish watching so I can put everything together easier.
