I love Hippo Campus!
They're indie rock according to google but they do everything! Just their album "landmark" has alternative, indie, rock, and so much more. I make literally everybody I know listen to them. I originally heard them because their song "Buttercup" was in my recommended. My favorite song is Baseball. I wish they would come over to my side of America but they tend to stay on the East side.

They make steampunk music about random stuff and its the best. my favorites tend to be their love songs (she said maybe, I don't have a name for it, ill rust with you, ect) but my favorite song is probably Airheart because the character is an airplane lady whos name is lily, and im called lily by family and I freakin' love airplanes

it totally isn't for everyone, steampunk is a weird genre. but even if you don't like the music, watch some of the old videos of theirs from balboa park and the san deigo zoo. their miming is crazy good. it's all on youtube and I live for it. the art you see in the videos for songs are drawn by Bunny (Rabbit), who is transgender and the twin sister of the Spine (Michael). they're wonderful.
