A rare sight of me reading my first book in... years, but yeah

Loveless by alice oseman

Backstory : my gay friend and some straight karen were debating Heartstopper in a discord server, the karen was saying that gay books shouldn’t focus on gay people... being gay 🤦 and that they should have good storyline without focusing on a character being gay... because... gayness can't be a personality trait? Or whatever. 🤦🤦 But anyway, I never read heartstopper but the claim above ^ really got to me so I also joined the debate. Eventually I started explaining how reading aroace media and tropes, as an aroace, makes me feel understood and happy ( to make a parallel that obviously, a gay guy would gay media, because hes the targer audience ) but the karen wasnt having it. anyway, thats when the friend in question, whos a real bookworm, recommended Loveless to me, saying I will like it.

Reading it right now, I can tell you this is the most aro book to ever exist

Currently working on a couple of books atm!
The Bridge Kingdom
When the Moon Hatched (Kindle)
Plated Prisoner #4 (Kindle)
The Night Circus
Twin Crowns

Love reading and always happy to take book recommendations if you have any!
I'm sporadically active on CS due to real-life priorities (job, relationship, house work, taking care of animals, etc. Adult things, ya know?). Feel free to send trade requests regardless! I love a good trade!

Dune by Frank Herbert! I really loved the movies so I decided to read the book and while it does have some iffy parts I have absolutely devoured it and I’m almost done after only two days! It’s really interesting comparing the movies to the original source material and seeing what was changed and what was elaborated on
they/them 🍊 be kind <3

Red, White & Royal Blue

Been wanting to see the adaptation, but decided to wait and instead read the book first, as I usually do with movie/series adaptations. And it's so good so far! Haven't had a book make me laugh this much in so long, such a nice change

The Golden Spoon - Jessa Maxwell

It's as if Clue and the Great British Bake-Off came together to write a novel.
