(important update) music you dislike

the threequel to shows you hate. to start off this thread, i hate prince songs and 80s r&b. what about ya'll?

i know this thread is pretty old, and even though a lot of these opinions are dated, i wanna ban blanket hate on these genres:

- k-pop
- j-pop
- rap
- mariachi

"but max!!! why are you doing this? you havent cared until now!"

the issue is, these are genres rooted in different cultures or countries. k-pop and j-pop have become blanket terms for any music from korea or japan. saying "i dont like bts" is one thing, saying "i hate k-pop" is another. rap is deeply rooted in black culture, and is made up of so many different sounds. once again, saying you dont like soundcloud rappers is one thing, saying you hate all rap is another. i was pretty young when i made this thread. now that im older, im more aware of the stuff happening around me and im much more loud and proud of being a black person, and as a black person im totally opposed to the hate for any genre connected to a marginalized group or culture.

saying things like "i dont really like eminem" or "im not a big fan of rap rock" is allowed, but please refrain from saying you hate genres connected to cultures that are marganalized. if this upsets you, sorry not sorry. if youre a moderator and this upsets you, sorry not sorry. this is what i believe is right and i will stand my ground.

as an extra clarification, yes, youre allowed you hate to say you hate a certain era of any of the genres i have blacklisted blanket hate for. yes, i also hate most modern rap. generalizing it as every song from an era is something ill allow tentatively.
