HEAVY on mother mother, i dont actually think their songs r the worst it just takes me back to 2020 and like. i cannot remember my nagito kinnie phase (i hate danganronpa so much now HAHA)
i think 100 gecs is cool though but i love fast paced speedy music sometimes

i don't like most pop, the way the music is made kinda just sucks to me, like the melody doesn't sit well with me, so i don't enjoy it
i like some of the old pop songs from the early 2000s, as the way it was produced is different from what i've heard out and about the past 10-15 years
i like some russian pop songs because the melody/beats are a bit different from western pop, but even most of the "top 10" in russian pop sucks to me

i genuinely hate country music, the main reason being that it's mostly all some of my managers play for the entirety of a 6 and a half hour shift :,) (so glad i'm moving lol)

oh and also taylor swift for the exact same reason

i like a few of her songs but i agree here, i'm not a massive fan. i can see why many people see her as an idol and she has a very generalized style of pop which reaches a lot of fans i feel. i don't mind her songs on the radio but i don't see myself excessively listening to her or scrambling to get a seat at one of her tour concerts.

i live in the southeastern region of america; country music itself isn't bad but i understand where the dislike comes from. the genre has its gems though! im sorry your work ruined it for you, that sounds terrible having to listen to that for six and a half hours ;-;

joining the revival of this thread, pretty much anything that was written/performed by lin manuel miranda, which i know is a very unpopular opinion. i liked most of the songs in moana, but aside from that i just don't gel with the way he writes lyrics and i'm not a fan of how he performs them either. i had a hard time getting through encanto just because he was so involved in the development process and the songs were so central to it

oh also twenty one pilots. they have a similar super-theatrical style that i just don't like despite the fact that i do tend to like musicals and adjacent genres like cabaret... there's just something too cheesily over the top about it in this case. there are pieces of a couple of their songs that sound alright, but i can never even listen to those in full because they're too few and far between the long chunks that are not at all my taste.

i try 2 talk 2 ppl abt music and theyre like "god i HATE rap it so bad omg omg ew" like......bro but rap is so good? and not 2 mention the Implications of that. then they're like. "ohh i dont like rap unless its 21 pilots or hamilton" like . that isnt good

anyways i love rap but i dislike 21 pilots and hamilton LOL
