So off I go to look at the site and watch the trailer, and look at the new starters, legendaries and the like. Whilst the fire starter looks beautiful (way, way better then Tepig) a groggy frog Water type one does not, but that's just my opinion. Unsure about Grass.

Me loves the water type one <3

araneapeixes wrote:Ah, I love Pokemon! Hey guys.

fun fact: Not only do x and y have to do with genetics, but they're also the axes on a coordinate plane- the third part of the main three will certainly be called z, because the games are, you know. 3D.

This is pretty much what I assumed the X and Y stood for as opposed to genetics. To add to this fun fact, the 'Cartesian coordinate system' was developed by the French mathematician, René Descartes. Add the fact that this is the first 3D Pokemon generation game (As opposed to a spin off.) and the fact that it is based off France/Europe, and I dunno~ Seems like it isn't that they ran out of colors, I think they are trying to be witty. XD

How.... do you even say those names? D: I admit the Yveltal looks cool, but Xerneas looks pretty unoriginal. And the starters... they're really running out of ideas, it looks more like a cartoonized fox/frog/mole (although with a hat) than an actual separate creature.

And why would they base it out of Europe? I'm pretty sure the other gens (except Gen 5, I heard that was based out of New York?) weren't based out of real places and they were really cool. I think they should have at least made some more remakes like HG/SS before they made another gen, does anyone else think it's come way too soon?

(Oh, and to those concerned about their old games - 3DS is backwards compatible to play DS games. Although you may want to hold on to your DSLite/DSi anyways to trade pokemon and stuff.)

The trailer says "coming worldwide October 2013"

People say pokemon is running out of ideas every time they release a new game.

I imagine they are prnounced
"Zer-nee-us"
"ee-vel-tel"

well they are have you seen some of the pokemon in black and white they've become so desperate they need to make pokemon based off lamp posts

And i must admit the deer legendary looks pretty cool, literally

But to me they are playing the name game, take a letter add another then another and see what you get but remember it has to sound like a name, what i thought when i saw Y's legendary name
Trying to get back into roleplaying, haven't done it for a while. I like roleplaying wolves but they have to be realistic so no alpha beta delta and especially no healer ranks. I like big cats, horses, cats. I like roleplaying warrior cats. I don't play a lot with human characters unless they're shapeshifters or dragon riders.

So if you have a roleplay that needs more members send me a PM.

I don't know where the the "Yv" combonation comes from, I have seen it before though. I know someone name "Yvonne" that was pronounced "Ee-von"

The Litwick line was one of the coolest gen 5 lines!

My friend, you are incorrect. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh are, apearently, all based off regions of Japan.
This is pretty much dead. I might check it once in a blue moon.
I tried to include sprites from fire emblem: fates to make it look prettier but technology hates me
If you somehow need to get in contact with me, I'm @cinnamintbun on twitter and captain_cinna on instagram.
Just tell me why you're messaging and I'll usually respond.

Official pronunciations from the pokemon facebook
We’ve been getting a lot of questions about the pronunciation of the new Legendary Pokémon names. So here they are, Trainers! The official English phonetic spelling for Xerneas is ZURR-nee-us, and for Yveltal is ee-VELL-tall. How many of you already had it right?
