It may be good on its own but because of the mass of dystopian novels being published and made into movies it makes pretty much all of them kinda dull and predictable. Producers need to realise that too many of one thing can make it really really bad, like Vampire movies and books after Twilight and now we have dystopian worlds everywhere

Sick of going to my library and seeing the exact same concept and the exact same formula on every book I pick up. I read one I have read them all
Trying to get back into roleplaying, haven't done it for a while. I like roleplaying wolves but they have to be realistic so no alpha beta delta and especially no healer ranks. I like big cats, horses, cats. I like roleplaying warrior cats. I don't play a lot with human characters unless they're shapeshifters or dragon riders.

So if you have a roleplay that needs more members send me a PM.

Never mention YA books in front of me, unless you're here to rag on them.

Anyways, sorry for the lack of updates! I'll try to post later today.

Not necessarly saying they're bad, it's just it's... Overdone.
It's like Frozen. It was a fine movie, but by seeing it everywhere, (Toys, Internet pics, people attempting to sing let it go, SO MANY PEOPLE TRYING TO SING IT'S SONGS,) It gets old, and it isn't always as liked anymore (I met a few saying they hated frozen). It is really only disliked from being EVERYWHERE, not for being bad (It's perfectly fine). It's like telling a joke over and over. It's funny the first few times, but it can get rather annoying after too long.
So, nothing wrong with this genre, but people just want something new.

most ya books are garbage tbh. there's hardly any well-written and thought-out stories. they borrow concepts from older books which fair enough, its pretty much impossible to write anything 100% original, but then strip these concepts to the bare minimum and fill them with cliches, far too many similes and half-baked romances. its kind of a shame that authors dont feel the need to produce quality works for a younger audience, when really, that should be the time when people should be exposed to good literature. don't get me wrong, reading a trashy novel is fun in the same way that watching a mindless action movie is, but sometimes you get tired of endlessly seeing Die Hard and want to watch something more intelligent.

^ Which is exactly why I read a lot of James Patterson's novels, mostly the Alex Cross series :3
