is there any sites where you can look at the likelihood of getting one or anything? like are certain places more likely to have shinies, or are certain pokemon more likely to be shinies? and aw no it's fine but thank you, i'd rather find one myself. or try to. xD

I had never found one of my own earlier (I had some that I traded for though), but two days ago I was fishing at Route 12 i think, and after 10 throws a shiny octillery appeared! I was sooo excited, and i managed to catch it too! They say consecutive fishing (that is, fishing in the same spot over and over again) makes it more likely to find shinies. Using the Pokeradar is also a good way to find shinies, if you manage to find only the same pokemon over and over again, there are some sites explaining how this works (just google "poke radar shinies" or something and you'll find it!
