On a german one, a guy wrote what PJ can't say (or literally: "is an idiot") that Smaug is the "greatest danger of them all" (trailer sentence), because Frodo and Aragorn already fought against a giant spider and the armys of Mordor years before the hobbit... PLEASE go jump into Mount doom XD XD

I like Tauriel too, just because i like stories with strong female characters and not damsels-in-distress.

As for that guy who says Smaug can't be the greatest danger, he needs to read the book "The Hobbit" and needs to realize "The Hobbit" came BEFORE LOTR.

Or jump in Mount Doom-either way works!

Am I the only one who does not like her? I just don't understand why she's there. Yes the hobbit is a male oriented book, and I think that's perfectly fine. There does not always need to be a strong female character in every movie. I can see that they are also trying to attract a female crowd, and that makes sense but being female myself, I don't agree with the idea and would have been perfectly happy if they had kept to the book characters. Another problem in my eyes, is the supposed Kili/ Tauriel thing. The hobbit does not need any romance worked in! They are also messing with kili's character and I don't think that's really nessessarry. I wonder what Tolkien would think of her though, and I'd he would like her or really not agree with the idea. So basically, I think they should stay a bit more book-oriented.

I don't know what to comment, I feel like a person with natural retardation and an IQ lower than 50, when you talk about movies.

Anyways, Tauriel seems quite interessting and I believe she will be a great addition to this guy fest. Maybe there would be some kind of elven chemistry.

I actually sort of agree with you. Making a romance is not necessary, but the extra characters may be. (If that makes any sense)

Well, maybe PJ bent down to the nowaday usual music genres.
It seemes to me that every movie, today has one romance. Atleast. So, maybe that was what PJ tought he could get romance lovers.

Nah, Igalaxy, I'm with you. I don't have anything against PJ or the actor of Tauriel, Evangeline Lily, it's just that I don't like the character much. She looks a little too high-and-mighty for my tastes. but then again, I'll take a good look at her once my dad gets his hands on the movie.
