Tauriel sounds pretty cool, actually. I'm looking forward to see her, despite my annnoyance at the fact that she wasn't in the original plotline.
I am now on summer break and therefore wasting my time on my laptop posting and listening to Hetalia theme songs

I'm excited to see Tauriel, though I am quite annoyed that she wasn't an original character.
But, to be fair, Legolas wasn't in The Hobbit either... though he is an original tolkien character.

@Legolas; Yes, I was so incredibly nervous that Tauriel would have a romantic connection to Legolas, and I was so happy when Peter Jackson made it clear that was not going to happen.

The trailer is supposed to come out along with Man of Steel(June 14th). Hopefully the opening night, but maybe the opening weekend.

I'm so icredibly annoyed with Netflix...

They have all three of Extended Edition LoTR movies. But you have to order the DVDs, and FoTR & TTT are "Very long wait" and "long wait", but RoTK is completly available. Anyway, I had RoTK at the top of my queue, but they sent something else instead grrrrrrrr

That is so annoying. Which is why I not only stream Netflix so I don't have to order DVDs, but own all three on DVD.

I want to have a LotR movie marathon this summer with my friends. The hard part will be unearthing the VHS player and my cassette tape of RotK since my DVD is the regular version.

Guess what? I just found a 1977 Tolkien books calendar i found at my grandfather's farm. It has pictures of some of the characters. Words cannot describe the awesomeness of it- the artists' rendering of Smaug looks epic! And it even has a photo of Tolkien on the back!
