There's something LOTR related that's really bothering me, but I'm not sure how to say it without sounding superficial. But I am though, so that's probably the problem.

Well, it's just that I don't feel like I like Bilbo the same way in LOTR like I do in The Hobbit. I mean, he's cute in an older way in LOTR, but I don't have the attraction to him like I do in The Hobbit. Is it bad to have a crush on one but not the other?

I almost think of them as separate characters, but they aren't really.

Maybe Martin Freeman is a big factor in it (even though this is the first and only thing of him I've seen), but I usually stick with liking characters because liking actors themselves doesn't usually end well. I do like Bilbo's personality too, though.

I know what you mean about liking the characters instead of the actors! I like Hawkeye and Bruce Banner, not Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo.
