I don't really like the idea of Kopa, personally. In my opinion, I don't think he even existed in existence with the story, since Six New Adventures wasn't written by Disney. And Disney officially said the cub at the end was Kiara, via Simba's Pride commercials.

Well, I don't really care for Kopa either, but I think with some. Better writing he would have turned out amazing. But, who knows. I personally would have preferred if they hadn't made such a fool out of Simba in the Lion King 2, like, he specifically said he was merciful at the end, so why was he so...cruel to Kovu? I understand he's a little jumpy about Scar, but exile? Not even giving Kovu a chance? And Nala felt like a side character. But I'm probably taking it too seriously.
